Chris Wegener came by and prepared an estimate and had it to me in a few days.it took about three weeks to get on the schedule. The drive repair and replacement was completed quickly and great care was taken to have the site clean and in good order when completed. Chris himself oversaw the team that did the work.

Chris Wegener came out and inspected the old driveway. Gave me a very fair price for the amount of work that was required and set a schedule that would accommodate another contractor who was building a wall along one side of the new driveway. Everyone showed up on time and I was really surprised since Chris was so easy to talk to and the amount of time he spent answering all my questions, that he owns all of his own equipment and has a full crew. He and his crew did everything from start to finish with their own equipment and trucks and clean everything up before leaving. I am a retired contractor and know a good company when I see one. I would definitely recommend and use him again. Afterward we realized a curb was needed for proper drainage and they came and added the curb for only the cost of the additional asphalt. Very happy.

Driveway looks fine but part of my fence was warped over the driveway. I heard the owner Christ tell a worker to replace the board on the fence (which I paid his worker to do). When I returned home after the driveway was done the board was just cut off leaving a hole at the bottom of the fence. I never saw the guy again.

The men did a nice job; however, sand was left on driveway (to facilitate drying) and we were left to sweep it up. We're awaiting driveway to be sealed & crack filled.

Late June requested a quote for a driveway. A month later, still have not heard from them.

I'd give them an overall grade of "B". Price was about what I expected. I'd give them an "A" on responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism. I'd use them but I had a few follow questions for them.

Good, Wegener recommended the overlay for my circumstances. He was able to customize the project for a specific situation I had, did it when I wanted it done (with relatively short notice), and did a good job. Would definitely recommend Wegener for asphalt paving needs.

Chris Wegener assessed the driveway in terms of water flow and drainage which is critical for a sloping driveway. I think that he and his crew did an excellent job redoing my driveway. There was a problem with some puddling and also with a berm that was to prevent rainwater from entering the garage. I appreciated their follow up to remedy the problems. When my neighbor inquired about someone to redo her driveway, I said that I recommended Wegener Asphalt and she ended up choosing then to do the job.

The initial paving was uneventful but areas of asphalt crumbled within a week of completion of the project. After multiple calls, the paving was patched but the same areas broke apart again and were never repaired despite numerous requests. We were told that the asphalt could not be sealed for several months after completion of the paving. When the sealing was finally performed, the quality was substandard and the price was twice what we had paid previously to other contractors for the same work. Wegener refused to make good on the poor job of sealing the driveway, so we will have to hire another contractor in the spring to correct their poor quality work.

I dealt with Chris Wegener and he was just terrific! I called to request an estimate in the morning and he met me at the house that same afternoon and provided me with the estimate. I accepted his estimate the next day and the work was scheduled for the following week. Everything went just as planned and we now have a terrific, new driveway just in time for winter!

Excellent. Chris Wegener provided an immediate quote on the driveway and responded to emails and calls very quickly. The workers that came out did a great job. There were about 3 days of work and at the end of each day there was no "mess" left. The final driveway looks incredible. Can't wait to be able to park on it!

I contacted Mr Wegener for a quote. He told me up front that he may not be able to do the job. He was familiar with my neighborhood and did not think his equipment would match my drive. However, we agreed that it would not hurt to look. After inspection he gave me a bid, $1,000 under my lowest competitive bid, I agreed to have the work done and he was there within two days to do the job. He was done and out of there in three hours.

Chris was initially responsive and provided a competitive quote. His workers said they needed the garage door open to do the work which made sense but I found that they were driving the large roller all the way into my garage. not just close to the opening (cracking the floor). Although they had ground down the area by the garage door as we had discussed, the driveway was brought level with the garage floor not replaced at the 1/2-3/4 inch below as it had been. Now my garage has rain come in with a hard rain. The same large cracks reappeared within 2 years although we paid for "matting" to supposedly prevent that and add more stability. There is a concrete curb that would also provide stability. The edges of the drive are also cracking off because they overpaved the edges of the old drive so now it looks worse than before they did any work. I would recommend not using this contractor.

1. The bid from Wegener was considerably higher than the other company for exactly the same work ($11,000 vs $9,000) 2. The (standard) contract included a clause excluding coverage for cracks in the first year in the warranty. What? That is why I needed complete repaving of the driveway - sealing no longer kept cracks from re-appearing. I understand they might not want to warrant for cracks in a commercial parking lot, but they should for a private driveway. When asked if they would re-d the contract without that clause, I was told "No. We have great rating on Angie's list and we'll take care of any problem." But they refused to take that clause out of the contract. So they would have no obligation to take care of cracks, even within a year of paving. I will not work with anyone who will not stand behind their workmanship in a contract. Completely unacceptable in my opinion.

Chris responded promptly to my email for information, and came out within days to give me an estimate. Although it was still early spring they came out and prepped the area to be done, and the very first day it was warm enough he and his men were out to do the job. Done within 4 hours and it looks perfect. I am more than pleased and highly recommend Chris and his company.
