Excellent experience working with Sally Rodriguez and Sue Lueken and their team of floral artists at Walter Knoll on LaSalle Street. For the Saturday, May 23, wedding and reception held at Washington University in St. Louis, they constructed beautiful bouquets and boutonnieres for the bride and groom, 10 total attendants, and 4 parents. The bride chose a multi-colored theme (orange, red, yellow, magenta, green) for the wedding and this was carried out in the ladies' dresses and in all the floral accents. The flowers provided for the chapel consisted on two large multi-color arrangements of bi-color roses, stock, lilies, ranunculus, freesia, alstroemeria, tulips, ruskus and tree fern which were moved to the reception in Holmes Lounge after the wedding ceremony. Sitting on two tall glass cylinders rented from Walter Knoll, these arrangements were a stunning addition to the wedding party dining table. Eight smaller arrangements in 6 inch bubble glass bowls together with the attendants' bouquets held in glass vases completed the dining table arrangements for the approximately 110 guests attending the buffet dinner reception. The bride's cascade bouquet held in a glass vase graced the sign-in table. The flowers were colorful, wonderfully arranged, and so fresh that they continued to give pleasure for almost a week after the event. In-town guests were encouraged to take bouquets home at the conclusion of the party and the two large arrangements were used the next day to decorate two church services and later on at two more church services. We were a little late seeing about the flowers, but had a first meeting with Sally on March 10 and a final meeting with Sue on April 17. These ladies were friendly, professional, and assisted us in making decisions that made for stunning flowers within a reasonable budget. Hearing our ideas and suggestions, they showed us around the design center, selected flowers that we preferred and quickly constructed a "sample" bouquet that they invited us to take with us after the meeting. These interviews plus the complete floral description, written delivery schedule, and formal contract sealed the deal. And we were not disappointed. Everything arrived on schedule and all the details were carried out just as we had agreed upon. Thank you for enhancing this happy occasion with your beautiful flowers.
