The company quickly became known for it's exceptional service and with increased demand, expanded into the Long Distance, Commercial, and Storage areas of the Moving Industry. With a forecasted goal in mind and a drive to provide the best service possible US Vanlines quickly became a nationwide carrier of household goods, office furniture and high value products.

The moving team we got was terrible. They were unprofessional, didn't know what they were doing, broke things, and complained about moving heavy items. Worst moving experience ever.

It went great. The were very professional. They called us to see if we would like a quote. They came on the day they said they would come and at the correct time. They gave us a reasonable quote the next day. Called to see if we had any question. We decided to go with US Vanlines. We set up the moving day and time. They called a few days before to verify the date and time. The day of the move, they arrived at the time the stated. There were 3 men who verified what we were moving. The men moved the items and were very careful with the items. We had a late closing on our house so we had to store the items overnight. The next morning they, once again, came at the scheduled time. They moved the items to where we wanted them. All of the items were fine and we did not lose any items. Great service and a GREAT company! I would highly recommend them.

It went WONDERFUL, very long day, had to make 2 trips, (the truck was big enough, we just had too much stuff) the 4 gentlemen they sent were very hard workers, very polite and professional. No matter what our needs were they were there to help. They were with us for 17 hours, that included travel time, so at the end of 17 hours we were all "very" tired, and they still had a pleasant attitude. At the end of the move, they checked to see if there was anything else they could do for us.

It was great! They were in and out! It only took about an hour for them to pick everything up and about an hour and a half to deliver and mount my furniture.
The movers were very helpful, they helped me move my furniture around the apartment.
They cleaned after themselves (boxes, pieces of tape etc. from unpacking) .
I paid what I was quoted, no hidden fees or unexpected charges.
Overall I was satisfied.

They did a very poor job of moving me. There was a lot of add on financially. They gave me an estimate to just get my stuff on the truck and to get it off the truck it was almost double what the estimate was. The guy packing the truck did a good job. There were two other movers and they were not experienced. I saw that they were putting boxes on stuff that should not of had things stacked on top of. They were taking a long time to move me. I was not happy about how they doubled the estimate.

Unless you've had a visual estimate and a guarantee of price, we charge for the hours we worked. Simply, if you had our minimum quote for two hours, and your specific move took four hours, your price would naturally double. Our company does between 1200-1500 moves a year. We do have days where more experienced crew leaders train new hires. I did notice you said he "did a good job". As a company, we absolutely need honest feedback like "I saw that they were putting boxes on stuff that should not of had things stacked on top of." . I went back into your file and I did not see any claims for damaged items, so I'm guessing the crew leader also saw what you saw and corrected it. We have all had a first day on the job. In the future, just mention if you see something you're not happy with and we will jump through hoops to meet your needs or desires. That being said, if you're not happy, I'm not happy. The Pre-planning and pricing phase went well. Out of all of the companies that I checked into they were the best price. I had them meet me at the storage Unit first since everything was in boxes and ready to go - no taking apart of anything needed. They showed up close to on time in a Hertz Delivery Truck. Now you may ask yourself why does the truck matter and the reason I mention it is because I have moved myself several times and Moving trucks are much better to move with than delivery trucks. The delivery truck has a lift gate that the movers would have to raise and lower and move the boxes into the truck. My thought is if they had the right equipment the job would have gone much faster. I bet I would have saved at least an hour of time. So we moved the Storage unit and moved on to the apartment. There were some mentions of extra charges for moving TV sets which I agreed to since I didn't want to move the stuff. We loaded the stuff onto the truck and they were supposed to follow me but I guess they thought they had a better way because they got off on a different exit - maybe they went for lunch - after waiting 20 minutes they showed up. Moving slower than they did in the morning. Toward the end of the move they said they would just leave everything in the garage and have me move it which I said no thanks I can pay for another hour of time. That last hour they went really slow - could have just run out of steam so I sent them on their way. Overall the job was accomplished and the guys that did the moving were nice. The only thing that really prevented me from giving them an A was the equipment they used and it just seemed like to me US Van Lines just used subcontractors - Like they put 3 guys in their T Shirts and said go to this address. I think that is the only thing that put me off. If they had the right tools I think they would have been done sooner and less tired.

They did a great job. They worked extremely hard. They were extremely prompt and professional and I would highly recommend them.
