I contracted with Unique to replace my Unico high velocity A/C blower and evaporator units for my A/C system. They completed the job and I paid $13,000. A couple months later I had another HVAC company come to check on another one of my A/C units (I have multiple zones in my house). They saw Unique's work and told me: (a) Unique had installed a 5 ton unit instead of the appropriate 3 ton unit (they can charge more for a 5 ton unit); and (b) Unique had cut a number of holes in my attic ductwork. Because the 5 ton unit was too large for the system, the Unique installers cut open holes in my attic ductwork to relieve air pressure make the system "work." i contacted the manufacturer of the system, Unico, who told me that a 5 ton unit required a minimum of 30 air ducts for the system to function properly. My system only had 17 air ducts, meaning that Unique had installed a system that was way too large, and had tried to make it work by cutting up the ducts. As a consequence, my A/C system was unable to cool a room below 74 degrees during the summer, but my attic was a cool 65 degrees! The bottom line is that John, the owner who came to do the specs, never went up to my attic to check the system, or even went around my house to check how many air ducts the system served. Consequently, he really had no idea of the size of system that should have been installed. I have since hired another HVAC company to correct the errors that Unique made at a cost of $14,500. I will never hire Unique again (they originally installed my system 20 years ago, but were owned by someone else). They do lazy, shoddy work.

On 4/7 service technician arrived & found that our compressor was not working. We were given 2 options to replace the compressor or replace the AC unit. We decide to replace the unit due to it was 13 years old & wanted a High Efficiency unit for better cooling & lower electric bill.
On the morning 4/8 Unique Heating & Cooling return to replace our AC unit & it was installed & working great. The service call & installation was over the top. The technician (Alan) was very professional & courteous. 2 days after the installation was complete Unique Heating & Cooling called to ask how everything was working & if we had any questions.
My wife & I would definitely recommend Unique Heating & Cooling for your HVAC needs.

It went extremely well.  We couldn't have asked for more.  They installed the new unit in a morning.  The installers were professional and courteous.  They cleaned up the entire area before they left. The new unit is so much quieter than our last one and we have noticed savings on our energy bill as well.  They also did an evaluation of our house and determined that our existing builder units were under powered.  That is why they ran non stop.  Our new unit handles our two story so much better.  I would highly recommend Unique Heating and Cooling to anyone and I know they will get my business again in the future.

During the hot Memorial weekend, we suddenly that our A/C was not working. We called several companies, but only Unique responded. They arrived within 6 hours and found that our unit was low on coolant -?Freon. They totally inspected the system, both the blower and the A/C system and all vents, and charge the unit with Freon, which was the expensive part. Service call was $60 and Freon was nearly $400.
They responded immediately, same day, and were totally professional. We will use them again.

Arrived on time when expected.  There were some days that work had to be delayed due to weather and the main office would call to make me aware of what was happening.  Overall, the staff is very nice but I would not use this company again due to multiple issues.  Before the work began, I was told that the furnace would be routed through the chimney and as such they would be providing a new liner.  After the first day, I came outside the house to find a 5-foot PVC pipe sticking out from the house impedeing my ability to park at the top of the driveway (which he did file down about a week later) .  I found the worker and asked why this was and that I had been told the system would go through the fireplace.  He told me they could no longer do that and couldn't really provide me with any further explanation.  I really wish that if plans were going to change that someone could have told me beforehand - it was very upsetting to discover this on my own. 
Since both the A/C and furnace were replaced in November, I had to wait until the following summer to use the A/C.  I had the A/C on for a few weeks and the house would just get hotter.  It turns out they didn't connect the wiring correctly and that had to be redone.  
Additionally, the thermostat that they installed with the new units was a poorer quality than my previous one and I wish that they had discussed this with me before they ripped out the one that I had.  Also, I had questions regarding rebates on the units which the workers weren't able to answer for me.
The only reason that I replaced these units was due to age (15+ years old) and tax credits and I had not had any issues but I feel as though I've had nothing but problems with the A/C since it has been installed (I'm currently seeking out a new company to address these issues).  Again, they're a very nice group of people but I would not recommend them or use them again for any type of large job like this.

***UPDATE***
When I turned on the A/C for the first time this summer (last summer was the very first time the unit was used) it just blew air.  Due to my lack of trust in this company given the above experience, I elected to use another company.  As it turns out, Unique did such a poor job of installing the unit that all of the refrigerant leaked out and there was also oil leaking all over the unit.  The repairman also mentioned that a very poor soddering job was done on the unit.   To have these issues fixed and the refrigerant replaced cost me $705.00.    As such, I changed my rating to an 'F' for this company given the level of incompetence that was discovered.

They have done a lot of work for me. Prior to the water heater replacement, they replaced the boiler for me. The quality of their work was very good and they showed up very quickly and on time. They charged me about $1300 for the water heater. I am not sure about the price because I haven’t shopped around for the same. I will continue to use this company in the future.

I awakened on a Monday morning to find it was 65 degrees in my house. I told my husband he had to take care of it, I was off to work. He tried to fix it, and couldn't. I had a Unique Indoor Comfort magnet on my dishwasher, grabbed it, said ''call them'' and he did. This was around 7:30, they told us they would send someone between 9:00 and 9:30. The service person was prompt and professional. It was a minor repair on the electronic ignition wire and took a minute or two to fix.
