TOP TREE SERVICE

It went great, he talked to me first and made the appointment. When he got here, he listened to me as I showed him what I wanted done. He gave me a date and then came out and got it done for me.

I have used this contractor for ten years or more, and their work is always satisfactory.  I made a specific written list of the work I wanted performed, I called, they give me an estimate, sometimes I get a competative estimate, and we proceeded with the work.  Since this job involved work in a number of trees, I made sure I was at home when the crew arrived to do the work so i could specifically review with them the items on the written list.  The work was completed better than expected.

Ken P. came at the appointed time and surveyed 2 trees, he was very polite.  A birch tree touches my neighbor's roof and hangs over their cars & driveway.  I wanted it completely pruned away from the neighbor's home so it would not be a liability.  Ken understood this concern and acknowledged that it would be cut back.  The estimate was written up at $540 to remove a relatively small maple tree (approx.20'), grind the stump, prune birch tree overhanging the neighbor's, haul away all debris.  In the meantime I got a 2nd estimate from Davey Tree Service for the exact same work for $420.  I called Top Tree Service to see if they would adjust or match the price because it was a $120 difference.  They agreed to match the price.  A week later the maple tree was removed but the stump remained.  The birch tree was pruned so little I could not tell anything had been done to it!  After close examination I noticed some small branches were pruned.  I assumed at the time they would return with a stump grinder for the maple and prune the bigger branches that still overhang the neighbors.  A week later the stump was ground out but the mulch pile remained and no further pruning was done to the birch tree.   
I chose this company because they are local to my municipality and I liked Ken.  They had the option to compete with the 2nd estimate, otherwise I would have just used the other service!

THEY DID A GOOD JOB. HAD TO GO BACK TO TRIM SOME LOW HANGING BRANCHES AND CHARGED ME AN ADDITIONAL $60
