They are licensed, bonded, and screen everyone on their list. They will find someone who is local and qualified. Every sitter we have used has been fun and we have had no problems. They are a great resource to use especially if you are looking for someone last minute. They cover all ages. We have had an awesome experience.

Contacted TLC for reliable care for our son with Autism and our typical son. TLC has always came through for us. We have been lucky to only have three different nannies. All have worked with special needs kids, and wanted to continue. They have been a lifesaver for our family. Would highly recommend this company. All nannies are qualified. Trained, back ground checks, CPR. We currently have the greatest summer Nanny. We look forward to quality care as long as we are in St. Louis.

You can hire a nanny or babysitter through them. They require them to be bonded and they conduct a very thorough background check before recommending them. I think their prices are very affordable and they provide a great service that is easy to use and gives you peace of mind.

On the positive, TLC provides extensive detail and background information about each nanny candidate. They have an education packet, which helps you understand all of the information needed to hire, select, and manage a nanny. We've also used their temporary nanny service, and TLC has a great system for contacting them, even on short notice, and quickly responding to a request. The nannies we hired did not work out for us. In general, we've found TLC's nannies to be great with children, but lacking in some general professional skills (e.g., contract negotiation, tardiness/absenteeism, etc.). Also, TLC's staff tends to be the voice of the nannies, and sometimes it seems they are in business to help the nannies instead of the families. They can be short on the phone, and we perceived that they seemed to side with the nanny if there was a problem. For the money paid to the agency, we expected "customer is always right" service, and that was not always the case.

After several serious illnesses in a short period of time, our pediatrician recommend that we keep our 3 year old home from daycare for the remainder of the cold and flu season (12 weeks). We called TLC, and Angela, who was very wonderful, worked with us tirelessly to find the right nanny for our family (we also have an infant) within 1 week so that my husband and I could return to work. She could have found someone for us immediately, but we chose to wait until we found the right person who could stay with us for the entire time. It was expensive ($50 initial fee + $250/month to the agency and $10/hour to the caregiver) but well worth it under the circumstances. I don't know what we would have done without TLC! We will definitely use them again.

Angela and others in the office are very polite, helpful and sympathetic. I have used them for temp nanny work in the past when I had a full time nanny who was often sick, then used them to find a nanny, and then once my kids transitioned to a daycare/preschool/pre-K setting, used them to find sitters when one child (or more) was home sick. All providers have always been top-notch and despite being strangers to me and my kids, my husband and I have always felt comfortable with them in our home and with our kids. Efforts are made to give us sitters we request or that know us/our kids and that is much appreciated. As working parents with demanding schedules, if it were not for TLC, I do not know how we would have made it! All sitters have previous experience, do the work because the love kids, and have been wonderful.
