I would never hire this contractor to do any kind of work in my home. He scammed me out of thousands of dollars then did all sorts of work that was not up to code. I had to hire another contractor to re-do the work. The plumbing was all wrong. The electrical had to be redone. It was a disaster. So after 12 weeks without a kitchen, we had to fire him and hire someone else to do the job right.

"In any legal dispute, it is crucial to rely on verified documentation and evidence to establish the truth. When individuals deceive themselves for an extended period, they may eventually believe their own falsehoods. However, this self-deception does not change the reality of a situation. In a recent court case on December 10th, 2023, it was clearly established that the opposing party failed to pay their invoices. The court's decision was communicated to them on December 12th, 2023, confirming their loss in the case. To provide transparency and credibility, I am more than willing to share the court documents with anyone interested in verifying my statement. It is important to emphasize that relying on factual evidence is paramount when making claims or accusations. Attempting to extort a company or individual through the use of a review is not in standing. By misrepresenting the truth or making false claims without proper documentation, individuals risk tarnishing their own reputation and credibility. In the case at hand, the court documents serve as an objective record of the events that transpired during the legal proceedings. These documents hold significant weight as they are based on facts presented and argued by both parties involved. By providing access to these documents, it becomes possible to substantiate the claim that the opposing party lost the court case due to their failure to fulfill their financial obligations. By requesting verified documentation before making any accusations or issuing reviews, one ensures fair and objective judgment. In conclusion, it is crucial to rely on verified documentation and evidence when presenting claims or accusations. Self-deception may lead individuals to believe their own falsehoods, but it does not alter the truth of a situation. [Member Name Removed] never paid us $58000.00."

First of all Mark is a very nice guy and I hate writing a negative review, but I need to make sure people are fully aware of my experience before they potentially end up in a situation like me. By and large my experience with Mark was extremely frustrating and disappointing and I will outline some of the reason for my score below. I know he can reply to this review but please know if I were able to reply to that I could easily add supporting rational to what I have said. This review is very thought out and intentional and is meant to reflect my experience. 1: The project took months longer than expected. It got to the point where we were more of a side job where people would work for maybe a half day once or twice a week before coming back a week or more later. Contrary to what he says about this I strongly feel that it was related to time management and it was in no way a delay from other people like the plumber and electrician (both of whom were GREAT). 2: The quality of work is also very disappointing for someone who has been doing this for years. First of all he seemed to be unaware of some basic codes requirement (such as the dryer vent duct in the ceiling couldn’t be semi-rigid material (collects lint), and the insulation on the exterior wall needed to be R15 and not R13) and I had to directly request the correct dryer vent duct . Next he seemed to struggle with figuring things out, and getting things correct the first time. Just a few examples of this are extreme trouble hanging the door (took 4 times to get it acceptable), incredibly poor job installing the much cheaper than agreed up toilet (installed a $90 toilet when we agreed to a mid-level one), leaking sink drain (I had to fix), very poor job caulking, and having to be asked to fill/sand holes in trim after he painted. Please note these are just a few things. The overall workmanship feels more along the lines of a DIY homeowner and certainly not a professional contractor. 3: In addition to this he was unable to take ownership on issues and was unable to pivot when things came up (construction issues or even when weather interrupted planned work). By the end we had to have several difficult conversations with him regarding the time for the project and the quality of work (including making him redo several things). He made an aggravating comment to my wife when she was having a “difficult conversation” with him of how this went from a basic bathroom to “Barbie’s dream bathroom” when nothing really changed (other than the sink and toilet placement which was done before day 1). This is still a basic bathroom that followed the plan agreed upon. By the end of this project we just wanted him to be done. We overlooked quality issues and understood that there would be work that I would need to redo/complete after he left. We decided it wasn’t worth the frustration anymore and just paid him to get a lien release. My wife and I feel like we hired someone who just started doing this and not someone who has been doing this for years. Based on my experience I strongly caution people against using him for large or small projects. It might feel at first like you are going to get professional level quality/experience but you will be left disappointed and frustrated.

"Let’s summarize the project time 1. Applied for permit Oct 20th, approved Oct 27th Paid Nov 1 st, we could not frame bathroom in Nov waiting for the electrician to move service entry this was not part of the bathroom project. 2. First week Dec change request from the customer to move the vanity and toilet location delayed the start framing the room. 3. Jan 2nd 2022 Customer had Covid 19 delayed the framing for 10 days and customer requested the kitchen cabinet be installed first which pushed the start of framing to the first part of Feb 2022. 4. Framing was started last week of Jan 2022, rough plumbing was complete and approved in March 1st 2022. Framing and Insulation passed inspection 3-14-22, drywall passed 3-30-22, started painting installing floor shower walls shower doors April 2022 final inspection May 3 2022 5. I will address couple of the [Memeber Name Removed] complaints, R13 insulation is code and passed county inspection for the outside walls, [Member Named Removed] demand a soft close lid toilet and regular toilet, soft close lid was not of of original contract for the toilet I did have to take a step down with the toilet and purchase a separate soft close the lid stay in budget to meet the customer new requirement. 6. I should have stopped the project, remeasured after each change request to verify before starting the next scope of the project. 7. I have detail document explaining project timeline, customer change requests with customer installing items out of scope causing issues with shower walls, flooring and trim installation. The 3-month delay on starting the framing had nothing to do with poor project management planning more to do other projects interfering with the start of the framing, change request from the customer, Covid 19 and the priority to complete the kitchen cabinet install. I will stop at this point I believe I’ve laid out the project timeline and the delays."

Mark was fantastic as always. He shows up on time and is very conscious of safety measures. Mark works quickly but is very detailed with the project. He is very personable. He engaged in conversation with my daughter and was sweet to my dog. Mark’s pricing is good and he is upfront about costs and any added expenses if any arise. This was the 4th job I hired Mark for and he has been great each time.

Mark does excellent high quality, timely work. He has completed other jobs at my house & highly recommend him. He just put in a new glass storm door, mailbox & pole, & hung vertical blinds. The new laundry room project consists of putting up Masonite walls, hanging cabinets & counter top, plumbing for new slop sink & doors. I’m painting & getting the doors, sink, paint, cabinets & counter top. He supplies the nuts & bolts etc & expert skill!!! The laundry room project will be starting this week.

The service was great. Mark, the owner, was responsive, very professional and very thorough. When I described my service request, he asked a lot of questions before doing the work. I really like the way he communicates. His background is very diverse.
