They're super, just plain super! You call can them, they will come out, and they'll give you a couple of options for work to be done. They also came out when they scheduled, and they were very neat and clean.

I haven't hired them yet but I will definetly when I want to plant my tree in the backyard. Excellent customer service very friendly and helpful.

I have been using Davey Tree service for a number of years--they spray my trees in the spring for mites and bagworms. They spray my female gingko tree to prevent fruit (this past year, it was over 90% effective). If you have ever had a female gingko tree, you will appreciate not having to pick up by hand thousands of plum-sized fruit that smells like manure. They also spray as necessary in the fall (once for tent bagworms) and fertilize all my trees. I am absolutely delighted with the quality of their work and professionalism. They came out after the Good Friday tornado without my asking to check my trees and showed me damage on the box elder tree I had not noticed myself because it was inside the branches. I plan on using them for many years to come.

Very well. Once I explained the problem with the initial removal. Never knew they did the work either time, but required inspection to determine whether they had fulfilled commitment.

I was asked what I wanted as far as the trees were concerned. I felt like they really listened to what I wanted. Not too much taken from trees, but to trim as needed off roof, fence and power lines w/o over doing the cutting. They were very good at their work, careful not to drop large limbs on personal property and cleaned up very well. I had asked about stump removal and they simply cut the 3'4" stump to the ground, then added soil and grass seed. I felt like they went above and beyond the original job and were really nice about it. Also very professional. Asked me before they left if everything looked okay and if I was satisfied. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

They called and came out to look at my trees within a few days of my request. They left me a bid, I called and talked to Tom who was very knowlegable and I felt confident that he would do a good job for me. I had gotten two other bids, one was outrageously expensive, another one was actually $100.00 lower than Daveys but Daveys was closer to my house and had been rated, the other company had not. The work was scheduled, they showed up as expected. The crew did exactly what was on the estimate, trimming two trees and removing the lower branches above the wires. I was very impressed about how careful they were to leave the trees looking balanced, they did not overcut. They cleaned up every branch and leaf that had fallen, you would have never known a tree service had been there.

They were fantastic. I can’t emphasize enough. They did a great job and the arborist was excellent. The whole team that actually came out and did the work was excellent.

They told me they would come tomorrow. I got a call later today and they came and did the same day for me. They sent an arborist out and we took care of it. The whole experience was fabulous.

They were quick, efficient, polite and reasonably priced. They did an excellent job ... I highly recommend!

Its been a week and I haven't even heard from them. I left a message with a live human being to get a bid. And nada. I guess they are to busy!

It took several calls to get them out to do the estimate and hen a few calls to get them to do the work. They left more wood chips than we anticipated. Otherwise the job was well done.

In late August I got quotes from four companies and Davey's was one of the lower amounts. Since they were heavily scheduled, Tom offered me a 10% discount to wait until October to have the work done. I accepted. A power line ran through two of the trees and Davey contacted AmerenUE for a line drop. I was given ample notice before this was done. The crew of three men worked steadily the entire day. Most of the trees they worked on are around 45 years old and four were very large pin oaks with lots of deadwood. When they left, the only evidence of their visit was clean, well-shaped trees. Follow-up: In March 2011, I returned home from a short vacation to find that a large section of one of the redbuds they hadn't worked on had fallen to the ground. I called Davey in the morning, Tom called me about mid-day with an estimate and the crew was here by mid-afternoon. That's what I call service.

I was very pleased from start to finish with my experience with "The Davey Tree Expert Company". All my interactions (scheduling estimate, actual work, billing, etc.) were very positive experiences. They completed the work exactly as promised and were willing to explain their recommendations and work being performed. They crew was very courteous and did a good job of cleaning up afterwards.

After watching other tree removals in the area which was a horror story. I was not to sure about it. However Davey Tree Co is the best. They where quick with their qoutes, and the price was better then I expected. They took care of calling the power company. I have two structures and other items in the area that would of made it diffucult to take the trees down.They did not have one issue. Even after they left and removed all the debri I walked around the lawn and didn't even see any divits. Besides the trees being gone, I couldn't even tell they were there. I would hire them again for any other projects I would have.

I needed an rotting tree removed from the edge of my drive way. I was given a quote for tree and stump removal. I chose not to have the stump remove because the asphalt of the driveway surrounded the base of the tree somewhat, and I wasn't ready to repair the driveway yet. I got a new estimate and they were at the house within a week. The tree was removed and they halled away the debris. And used a hose to clear away the saw dust. They told me to call when I was ready to remove the stump. They sent me a bill in the mail within a couple of weeks. I was very pleased.

Showed up for estimate on time. Gave extensive written estimate. No surprises.

When I talked to them on the phone, I was told they would visit our property and leave a bid. No bid was left. I spoke with them on the phone again and was told they would mail me a bid, and we discussed the overall plan, an approximate cost and agreed on a general time frame when they would do the work. After that I still did not receive a written bid. Luckily, I happened to come home from work over the lunch hour one day, and found them in my yard (I had received no notice or confirmation that they would be there that day), and they were trimming a tree I had requested them NOT to. Had I not come home and interrupted them, they would have trimmed two trees that I had requested them not to. I spoke with one of the two workers and explained what I wanted, and they finished the job as instructed. They didn't charge me for the mistake, but I didn't get any sort of follow up, apology or explanation, either. All I got was a bill in the mail (which seemed to high, given the work they actually did). I know they have a good rating overall, but they dropped the ball on our job. Furthermore, I think they overcharged me. I don't recommend them.

I did not use them because they couldn't get their act together.

The sales rep. was very knowledgeable and helped identify the problem with the tree and how to keep it from damaging other trees in our back yard. The crew that came by to cut down the tree were very friendly and professional and they worked very quickly and safely. It is obvious that the people at this company know trees.

They totally listened to me, worked within my timeline and were incredibly responsive! From the initial appointment setting to the completion of work, they made it easy to cross my tree issues off my list of things to do. They're services are not only painless, they make life a little easier!

The process of working with the Davey Company was very positive from beginning to end. A representative was at our house to give us an estimate within 24 hours of our initial request. The crew arrived on the scheduled day and was friendly and courteous. They took great care on the positioning of the equipment before the work began. As the yard became littered with depris, it was gathered up and disposed of quickly and efficiently. Before leaving, the crew asked if we were satisfied witht the results of the work or if there was anything we felt they had overlooked. We will use and recommend this company again without a doubt.

Davey's had a professional on site to evaluate my yard, the tree size, and stump sites and I had a cost estimate right away. They said my job was relatively small (though to me it was a lot of work) and they would come by while in my neighborhood within the next week. They did come out within the promised timeline and took down the tree, took out it's root and even an old shrub stub close by and the two stumps out back. They took away all the limbs, leveled the sites, and cleaned up nicely. And they were quick and friendly! A bill was mailed to me within the week after they called to make sure I was happy. I would definitely use Davey's again~
