Clock Repair
Wonderful! We have a large old (1890;s) Colonial tubular chime Grandfather clock that has been in our family since new, receiving only sporadic service. About six months ago, it quit working entirely, We called another '"highly recommended" clock service company, waited three weeks for him to show up and after he had unspected it for no more than a minute, that it needed a complete rebuild. The cost would be about $1,900,00! He was kind of pushy after we told him we'd need to think about it and he then offered to rebuild it for $1,700.00. We said no, He still charged us a substantial service call, although he did nothing. We decided to show him the door & called "The Clock Works!" Charles arrived promptly 4 days after the call, spent 3 hours working on our clock, replaced a spring, one of our weight cables, leveled & tuned the chimes, oiled and repaired a lift lever, timed it with an electronic instrument and gave us a few pointers about the clock that we didn't know and only charged $300.00, Our beautiful clock is working as good as it ever has now with no problems after 6 months. Beautiful job, Charles. Thank You!
