Fantastic experience! Not often does the best price combine with top-quality work and a personal touch. That's what Jackson, the owner of St. Louis Wood Floors, provided for our LVT flooring project. Working cold off Angies List, I got bids from five flooring outfits to re-floor our kitchen, adjoining hallway and small upstairs bathroom. Actually, every bidder was professional and personal. Jackson's bid was submitted blind and was clearly the best bargain. He and his son Alex worked with me and my 7-year-old grandson (my trusty consultant!) to make our choice of material and pattern. Jackson & his were punctual, came to work, cleaned up -- and fine-tuned the project to my picky preferences. They went the extra mile on a couple requests I had as work progressed. Jackson's patience helped make us absolutely thrilled with the finished look. So much so that Stl Wood Floors will be coming back for our wood stairway project. And this time, I didn't bother with other bidders!

The floors look great and the replacement flooring in the kitchen looks original. I just love my floors, now! The stairs and landing are wonderful. Jackson and his team are very professional and accessible.

We were extremely pleased with the results. This is a small family business. Jackson, his father Paul, and their employee, Matt were hardworking, professional, friendly and went out of their way to keep us informed throughout the process. As with most restoration projects there were changes, either for unforeseen conditions or personal preferences, and all these were handled in a professional manner. The repairs and finish came out great and the floor was restored to it's old charm and character. We would use them again for any hardwood flooring project.

new The real expertise of this company is installing and refinishing wood flooring. They are a small family-owned business who has been doing hardwood floor for many years. For our purposes though we needed to replace our water-damaged Pergo kitchen floor and were not satisfied with doing business with some of the larger flooring companies. I asked if they would take this on and they came out, provided samples and gave us a written replacement estimate. They schedule a start date. Took up the old Pergo flooring and then discovered many additional layers of flooring that should have been taken up with the original Pergo install. They went the extra mile and remove it all and then discovered mold form the water damage. They did the job right and handled the mold. Even got an air cleaner machine loaned to us for several days to ensure the mold was out of the air in our home. The install took a bit longer due to these obstacles, but we are very pleased with the install and are enjoying our beautiful new floor -- we would definitely recommend this company to others.
