They took a 48 Hour Radon Gas Reading between August 20th and August 22nd, 2019. The reading was good.

We had a 30 year old radon system with thin-walled pipe that leaked from condensation in cool weather. The original installer was no longer in business and my research led me to St. Louis Radon Testing and Mitigation. In an attempt to save me money, employees Mark and Jason tried re-gluing the original pipes. When the old pipe continued to leak and the levels were unsatisfactory, they installed a new system and made adjustments until the mitigation was successful. Tom, Mark, and Jason were wonderful to deal with. I strongly recommend SLRT&M.

Very pleased with project. Tom was extremely knowledgeable and prepared a plan which took into account a tricky basement design. Installers were efficient, courteous and kept me well informed throughout the process.

We had St. Louis Radon install a system. They were great to work with. We were able to schedule a convenient time within two weeks. They showed up on time, were very professional and efficient. They were here for about an hour and a half. They cleaned up thoroughly. They provided good information in answer to our questions. They then left a radon detection device to check the level after the installation.

Two young men showed up to do the work. They both went to the basement, looked around and started drilling through the concrete foundation. Then one went outside. He found that where they drilled through the foundation was directly behind a large, 20-year-old flowering bush. They took it upon themselves to cut down the bush and throw it into the backyard. I was home and talking with them the entire time. Not once did anyone mention that they cut down a bush that I had moved to this location because of the sentimental value to my family! I went out to see what this contraption looked like, never having seen one, after I had paid and was told everything went well with the installation. When I saw my bush laying in the backyard and the sawed off stump, in front of the ugly pipe and thing they installed I was furious. When I called the company, it took many calls to get to someone who would talk with me. When I did reach the person in charge, he told me that had never happened before in all of his years, and was I sure they had done it. Then he said he was sorry, and started to hang up! I asked what he intended to do and he offered to replace the bush in the spring, (I was selling the house) or what did I think was a fair price. I told him $100, and he offered only $50. Then when I didn't get my refund check for several weeks I started calling again. When I was finally able to get the call answered, they repeatedly said the check was in the mail! It was not until I threatened to go to the media that my check arrived several days later. Very stupid and shady people.

Overall it was good but the company had a series of mishaps that caused me to lose a day of work waiting for them and they didn't make their appointment. They should watch the weather and call appointments for the day to warm them if inclement weather was going to be an issue. They also had a vehicle break down or something too. I don't know. They weren't very apologetic about it either.

Both John and Rick were professional and efficient in their installation of the system. I had several questions that they answered to my satisfaction and they left everything clean and in order. I asked my real estate agent to use St. Louis Radon after she suggested several others. I have relied on Angie's List for years and have never been disappointed. Very professional and efficient. Work was completed in a timely manner. Very pleasant employees. Everything went well. Mitigating system installation took about four hours. They had to drill a hole in basement, complete wiring, install outside pipe, and put a new lid on sump pump. They explained things well beforehand, on the day they came here. They tested the radon afterwards for a couple of days and it had gone down considerably.

They were great! I used the special for $69 per house. We were concerned with radon levels in the home. We plan to use them to mitigate the radon in one of the houses that tested very high.

They put in their mitigation system. They tested again, and I did not quite pass. So they were willing to work with me and had me do a bunch things to keep the price down. Most home owners wouldn't want to crawl around and do what I did.
