I have been going to this vet for about 15 years. She is very passionate about the animals she sees. All of the staff love what they do and love the pets they see. The vet does really wonderful things. She has taken in quite a few abandoned kittens and raises them. I have never had any problems getting in to see the vet when I need to. I also have sent my 2 cats to stay with them while we were on vacation.

I've been bringing my cats to Dr Kinnunen since 2003, before she began working here. I followed her here, and since have also had my cats seen by Drs Freesh and Santiago. The vets and staff are all friendly and professional. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I had a very ill cat that needed assistance and he was in a life or death situation. I made several phone calls to them on the weekends to call me back to help out with the situation, even on their emergency line. I never received a call back from them. My cat just passed away. It was really frustrating because we had gone to them for years. We thought that they were really great. I don't why they stopped returning phone calls and it was very unresponsive.

I have four cats. These guys are the best. You can trust them with your pets. Price wise they are not cheap they are just average. I will not take my cats anywhere else.

Our cat was sick with cancer and we took her to the Cat Clinic for a second opinion. The doctors were incredible and so comforting. Care was vastly superior to the vet we had been using. Unfortunately, our cat was not able to recover and she had to be put to sleep. The dignity and comfort that the Cat Clinic provided blew us away. We were able to spend the morning with our kitty in a private room and let her slip away peacefully and in our arms. We now take our other cat here for primary care and again have been so impressed with the quality of care (and value of pricing!) for even just a routine check up.

This office is unbelievably prompt. You get there, you go in, the doctor comes in. So different from the mega-veterinarian centers we've been to in the past. The doctor is very knowledgeable and makes suggestions, offering alternatives. My kitty is very difficult to work with (as she is a rescue) and they actually put her in a little kitty-sack straight jacket kind of thing to work on her. It's great, I don't have to worry about anyone getting scratched. Vet techs and office staff helpful, too.

The detail and attention Dr. Freesh provided when examining the cats and then preparing our plan was extremely helpful. I could tell she has a deep passion for cats and many years of experience dealing with all sorts of cat related issues. I really appreciated that time she spent diagnosing the issue. She spent over an hour with me discussing my situation, examining the cats and then probably another hour preparing the specific plan for addressing the spraying issue. I have never had as positive an experience with a vet before. I would highly recommend the St. Louis Cat Clinic to any cat owner and especially to anyone dealing with complex cat behavioral issues.

I took my cat in for an annual physical and unfortunately discovered that he has developed hyperthyroidism and is also in the beginning stages of kidney failure. What started out as a routine physical quickly turned in to blood tests, urine tests, medicines and follow up visits.
Dr. Freesh and her staff are professional and caring. Dr. Freesh very patiently and thoroughly answered ALL of my questions, as did her staff, in subsequent visits. Dr. Freesh is a great combination of compassionate and pragmatic. I do not want my cat to linger over long and suffer in any way, and I think that Dr. Freesh will tell me when the time is right to make the hard decisions.
The costs were very clearly explained to me, including future office visits and follow up blood work. I am a transplant from a smaller city to St. Louis so kind of having sticker shock on vet costs; on the other hand, their costs don't seem out of line with other vets in the area. As a long time cat owner, I appreciate a vet whose practice is limited to cats.
I would highly recommend Dr. Freesh and the Cat Clinic

We moved from our previous veterinary clinic to the St. Louis Cat Clinic when Dr. Alison Kinnunen joined the practice. She is a top-notch Doc who we've been with for over a decade. Dr. Kinnunen is kind, compassionate and obviously skilled. We are leaving town for a job relocation, and Dr. Kinnunen even tracked down a quality Veterinary clinic in our new town for us. Can't recommend her highly enough.

I would not board my cats anywhere else! In my family's opinion, Dr Freesh and the staff at St Louis Cat Clinic offer the finest care, both medical and boarding, for cats, that is available in the area. We cannot imagine being more pleased!

I now live in Hazelwood and drive a LONG way to take my cats to Dr Freesh. She kept my kidney-failure kitty, Rusty, alive for two years longer than even she thought she could do. She said the prognosis was grim, but she was willing to give him her all. And boy, did she! He was a real fighter, but he could not have made it so long without such a wonderful vet. She has helped all of our subsequent kitties through the everyday stuff, cancer, and old age. She is always willing to go the extra mile, and is constantly researching new treatments. Dr Freesh leaves no stone unturned to help her patients. Also, I would not board them anywhere else. They took excellent care of the kitties through several boarding situations, the longest of which was a 3 week stay. They totally cater to the comfort needs of their charges. One of my cats gets cold and they gave her a little furry tent to sleep in. They also know that my cats do better in the same cage, so they put them together when they can. They are happy to dispense my kitties favorite treats to keep them happy. They get lots of attention, holding (if kitty is ok with that), and playing. In short, Dr Freesh feels to us like part of our family. We love her and her staff and owe them our undying gratitude for the love and care they have shown our "babies".

They are cat specialists. They know cats, and they love cats. They know my cats by name, and they are very very thorough when we go in to get their shot or have a general checkup. They are just really wonderful. We are very satisfied with their service.

My cat has been sick since she was a kitten and after Dr. Joan Fresh at the St. Louis Cat Clinic treated her and she finally got well. Now I take her mainly for routine check ups. The fees varied since we had several different things done each visit. Dr. Fresh is wonderful and is very responsive to my cat.

Veterinary practice limited to cats. Our prior vet just didn't seem compatible with them and Dr. Freesh is wonderful with cats. I feel the cats get better care and everyone in the office is friendly and professional.
