The bid was HALF of the other tree services so I was cautious. They showed up on time and I was surprised the crew also included several women. Every one worked well together. They worked so quickly I was AMAZED because these trees were all in very bad positions where a miscalculation would have been a disaster. Each day they cleaned up. We asked them to leave the wood we could burn because we have multiple fireplaces. They asked the lengths we wanted it cut in and did it. We had rain every day for a solid week but they kept in contact and said the first day that they could get the stump grinder out without becoming stuck they would be there. They were! I was SO pleased that we actually got great service for half the price of other local St. Charles bids!

I got a bid from several services and Snyder was by far the most reasonable. They were here and gone before I knew it! Talk about the cleanup! There wasn't a stick to be found. Great people. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs a job well done at a reasonable cost.

I had a large (60' tall) pin oak tree that was damaged in a recent tornado. I was referred to Snyder Tree Service by a friend. I called and arranged for an inspection and quote. Jim Snyder (the owner) inspected and gave me what I thought was a reasonable quote which turned out to be less expensive than two other quotes I received. I contracted to have the tree removed and a date was agreed upon. Jim's crew arrived as scheduled, did an excellent job of removing the tree which hung over my home to a great extent, and cleaned up all of the debris. They worked very hard in near 100 degree temperature, the hottest day of 2013 thus far. They did such a good job that I asked them to quote me on removing a Bradford Pear tree in my back yard that was encroaching on the power lines, and also 5 large shrubs that needed to be replaced in my front yard. They again gave me a good price and I gave them the go-ahead. They came back two days later, again in record high temperatures, and completed the work as contracted. Again, they did a great job. I could not have been more pleased with their work. They were very professional and courteous. I would recommend them with no reservation.

After we got the quote from Jim, we called him to do the job(s). Money was tight so he worked with us in a partial trade out for our participation in the job. The fact that he is an Arborist as well, made me feel a lot mor confident that no unneccessary trimming would take place. Jim and his crew did a LOT of preventative winter damage control, as well as take down a dead tree. That tree has been looming over, and damaging my roof and gutters for years. Cost was the issue until now. I feel SO much better not having to worry about the monster in the back yard! :) Also, the asthetics in my whole yard and other trees is wonderful! Thanks Jim and crew! The clean up was fabulous!
