Snopek Major Appliance Repair

Ray told me where to find the serial number, ordered the part, replaced the glass, cleaned the outer glass while he had it all apart, so now I can see into my oven again. Excellent service, straightforward fellow. He also looked at my 30 year old furnace, at my request, and gave me very good advice on how to proceed.

Over the years, we have had washers, a dryer, and a refrigerator repaired.  We have absolutely no complaints.  They are quick to respond and to make the repairs.  They are also very reasonable and explain in detail what will need to be done up-front.  I highly recommend them, and will not hesitate to use them again in the future, if necessary.

When he finished fixing the washer, he wouldn't level the machine. He said it wasn't important, but I thought it was. I had to level it myself. I thought he should have done that. I wasn't impressed with his demeanor or professionalism and I will not use them again.

He came out and there really wasn't anything wrong with it. We just had the adjustments on the dishwasher incorrectly set. He was fine, knows what he is doing and the service was fine.

Arrived as scheduled, got part same day and repaired.  Very efficient, personable repairman.

Once the part came in, the work was done promptly and quickly and at a fair price. The washing machine has been working flawlessly ever since. Would definitely use this company again.

He walked in, looked at the dryer, left, came back with a part and charged me. I called back 3 weeks later because my dryer stopped working again. I told him I never got a bill, so I didn’t know that I was charged for and didn’t understand what was done. He was very condescending and spoke down to me. He came back with an attitude because he didn’t want to. I told him he was unprofessional and he said he’s been doing this for 35 years, so I must know what I’m doing and stormed out. He also reeked of alcohol which was very disturbing. I would not recommend him.

I called and he came within a few hours. Found the problem, got the part needed and installed it. Easy and quick.

The experience was great. Their speed really stood out. He came in with the part and was in and out within 15 minutes, it was really really fast. This dishwasher is 25 plus years old. So you could imagine not everyone is knowledgeable about this, so I was very pleased.

My dryer was not working and Frank Snopek took apart the dryer to determine the problem. He did not have the particular gas valve with him, so he had to order one and come back. He came back for another visit and it turned out to require a new drum ($210 including the first visit). He suggested that it would less expensive to buy a new dryer than to repair it. I appreciated his honesty. He also only charged me for the original visit.

He showed up in one hour during an power outage and really saved the day. Then recently our air conditioning went out and he flew over to help us. His response time is excellent but during the air conditioner repair he said a part needed to be ordered. While he was looking for the part I ended up calling a larger company to have the emergency addressed. He then called to report that he could not locate the part and when I told him that we had the issue resolved he still didn't charge us a dime. He has been there to help us and other family members. He has been right on with every diagnosis he has given and is very knowledable.

Fridge stopped working. He came in and identified the problem very quickly and fixed it fast.

In general i'm satisfied with the quality and promptness of the service. I called Snopek monday morning at 8:30. He offered to come right over but i was at work so we made plans to meet at noon. Snopek showed up at 12:20, quickly fixed the dryer and left within 15mins. While I am satisfied with the results of the service, i do think Snopek could show a little more professionalism. When I called at 8:30 on monday i was greeted with just a "hello". I wasn't certain I had dialed the right number. Furthermore, when he showed up at my door with his tool bag in hand, he didn't introduce himself. I said hello and stood there for an awkward pause waiting for him to introduce himself before deciding he was probably the right guy and i should invite him in my house to fix the dryer. It wasn't until after the service was completed that he handed me a business card and shook my hand. Fortunately he's better at dealing with broken appliances than people.

It was very reasonably priced. They did an excellent job. I had this fixed a couple years ago and it's still working.

Our house was for sale for months and when we got a contract, Laclede Gas inspected and found two appliances that used to work, were not working after sitting idle for so long. Frank came the same day that we called. He got the oven working in 10 minutes, freeing a stuck valve. He said the dryer had an electronic module problem that wouldn't be worth fixing due to the part cost and the dryer's age. We appreciated the quick service and no-nonsense treatment.

I referenced Frank from Angie's List and called him to look at a broken refrigerator. He got to it and fixed it within 24 hours

We called him in the morning, shortly after 8am. We had left him a message the previous night, but I don't think he'd listened to it. He said he would come by 9:30 but in fact he got to us more like 11:30. We were grateful that he could come the same morning, so the food in the fridge was saved, but we wish he had called us when he realized he was going to be late.

Moved into a home and the oven door was not closing correctly. I called Mr. Snopek and tried to schedule a date in one week. He asked me to call back closer to the date I wanted. I called on Thursday to schedule next day but he was able to come by that afternoon. He was able to fix the problem. As noted in other reports his manner was a bit gruff but his work was good.

He was fantastic. Completely a straight-shooter. Told us repair would cost $250 and I could buy a new one for $400. We decided to go for the repair. Then he found a work-around for the timer problem that cost me nothing. Total cost $100. A good guy.

Called him. He came out the next morning! He took the front panel off and discovered that the motor was no longer working. He suggested that I go to a local store to purchase a new dishwasher. He gave me a few ideas of what to purchase. I found him polite, honest, and reasonable.
