SHINING EXAMPLE MAID SERVICE

The cleaning team showed up on time and went right to work. I was home and I felt like I was just in the way. They were everywhere. They did a great job. The house looked and smelled really clean when they left.

They were hired to clean a 2-bedroom rental house after tenants moved out.  The tenants didn?t clean the house at all when leaving.  The tub seemed to have a year?s buildup of scum.  The kitchen had a lot of grease buildup and the stove and refrigerator were filthy. The price was $150 plus $25 each for the refrigerator and stove.  I swept the house before they showed up.  I gave them my Lysol tub cleaner to use after they were unable to clean the tub and surround using the spray they brought with them.  They did a good job cleaning the refrigerator and stove.  The counters were stained, possibly with coffee and tea.  I was told they tried to remove the stain, but was unable to.  I used Magic Eraser to remove the stain.  I ended up wiping down the exterior of the cabinets after they left and mopping the hardwood floors with vinegar water and a Swiffer mop because they were not cleaned.

I used this cleaning service for over a year. They were reliable and did a pretty good job. Then, last summer they broke the stopper on a sink. I was home but they never mentioned it to me. Furthermore, they must have attempted to fix it because they somehow loosened up the drain pipe. When we went to use the sink without the stopper, the cabinet under the sink was flooded with water. I called the owner of Shining Example who apologized and said he'd come to fix it. I told him that I'd rather have a plumber and he said to just send him a copy of the receipt which I did. I heard nothing from him for awhile, then called him. He apologized and said he'd drop off a check within a few days. Nothing. By then, we were having some renovation done and had put the cleaning service on hold. I had no contact for over a month, then the owner called and said he had had a heart attack and was sorry he hadn't dropped off the check but that he was better and would drop off the plumbing reimbursement within a couple of days. No check was ever received and I did not resume service because of this.

The guy showed up in time a got right to work. My house was quite dirty and they had it spotless in no time.

Trying to get a time on the schedule was challenging, but once we had a date set all went fairly well. We're pretty particular about the kitchen and bathrooms, which we mentioned to them. We also had a regular cleaning service for several years. The company seemed to pay more attention to detail in the kitchen and bathrooms, but at the sake of the other areas of the house. Overall, it was a decent cleaning, but wasn't as detailed as our previous housekeeping service.

Came on time, courteous, finished in a timely fashion, Rooms looked very good when finished.

The team showed up on time and did a good job. They worked very hard for the two hours they were here.

I called to set up an appointment and was given a date very quickly. Jay and Gary showed up within the given timeframe. They brought in all of their own supplies which was very nice. They were very pleasant and polite, but not chatty and ready to be shown the house so that they could get right to work. Within the first five minutes of arriving, they had seen the whole house and were busy cleaning. They were very professional and never stopped to take a break or to chat. They worked very quickly, but thoroughly. They were finished with the entire house (2300 square feet) within the two hour timeframe. Everything looked spectacular and so clean. I will definitely call again!

I think I wrote everything in the previous space. They went about their work with a minimum of conversation between them which I appreciated. And they seemed to be doing the work professionally. When they were finished with one part, they asked me what I wanted to be done next.

Did a great job cleaning and whey were very professional. Worked quick and efficient. We have pets so it is a challenge and they were very proficient. It did take a few calls to get the appointment but gave them the benefit of the doubt because it was during the holidays. It was definitely worth the wait! Thank you!

We were already setting up tables and decorations and there was very little they could do. They washed the kitchen floor and cleaned some things on the lower level. I did a lot of the cleaning myself they did very minimal cleaning, not worth the Big Deal I had purchased.

I purchased this service with a special offer on Angie's List and was extremely pleased with their service and professionalism. From initial booking of my appointment throughout my condo cleaning experience, everything was great. The two gentlemen that cleaned my condo were pleasant, professional and didn't waste a minute of the 4 hour service. I will definitely hire them again hopefully on a monthly basis which is all I should need.

They arrived on time, got to work quickly, and worked fast and efficiently the entire time. They seemed experienced and professional. The quality of their cleaning was high; my tub has never looked so good. While it's impossible to do everything in that amount of time, I was amazed by all that they accomplished. I've had other people clean, and they are among the top performers. I would definitely use them again.

I was having a party on Friday of the same week and asked if they could squeeze me in. Greg made sure to take care of me and my crew did an EXCELLENT job. I am now going to use them every other week. I am very pleased.

Please see above. I called Greg to discuss our home and needs he was prompt in returning my call and explaining his services. He scheduled his team on the exact day I wanted. He's obviously proud of their reputation and that showed throughtout the process. I'm very impressed with them and highly recommend to anyone. Hey, they even cleaned out the inside of my microwave!

I called a couple of days before our open house when I realized I wasn't going to be able to get the place finished myself. They were the only service I could get on a Saturday, much less on short notice. Two men showed up, that Saturday afternoon and gave my house a more thorough cleaning than I have been able to do in months. (In fact, I didn't have dust for almost 2 weeks after that first cleaning.) Apparently they help prepare for open houses alot. I have used them twice since that first time and always look forward to how clean they will leave my house. The men are hard working, polite, and professional. They aren't overly chatty either, which is nice since you pay by the hour.

I have been using Shining Example since August every other week. They have been reliable and trustworthy. They do a very good job and if I notice something they missed (such as dust the top of the door frames), I simply call and they make sure they do it the next time. They honored their coupon once and I hope to use it again (4th cleaning free when you schedule weekly or bi-weekly service). I plan to continue using this service every two weeks.

I was very impressed when they arrived 5 minutes early, spent time asking me about my needs and what I wanted to focus my cleaning time on. They performed the regular cleaning tasks and then had me walk through to check their work. I must say the cleaning team was fantastic.
