 + -1 moreThe provider has still not completed the work he was hired to do and started over a year ago. The provider has been completely unresponsive to phone calls and texts. We have tried for months to get him to finish the work or provide a refund for work yet to be completed. He never answers his phone or replies to messages. The only time he has answered the phone is when we called from another number that he did not recognize, and then promises to complete the work, but never does. Semper Fi Development is the most shoddy, crooked contractor I have EVER hired. DO NOT EVER, EVER hire this company for anything!
Description of Work: Provider was hired over a year ago to complete exterior repairs to the house, replacing rotting cedar beams, replace trim boards and painting the entire exterior; put in a French drain that he promised would stop water leakage into the basement and resod the lawn after completing the French drain; tuck point brick wall on one side of the house. Interior repairs were to replace two windows in the garage, and repair cracked out grout on the sunporch floor. The provider required upfront payment of the full amount, $16,000. The only work actually completed was some exterior repairs and painting. The cedar "beams" he was supposed to replace were actually two boards nailed together which are now separating. Exterior trim boards were supposed to be smooth to match other trim on the house, and were replaced with rough hewn lumber. The French drain was put in, but did nothing to fix the drainage problem. Sod was never installed to cover the ditch dug for the French drain - the ditch has a mound of dirt on it a foot above the grade of the lawn. The garage windows were never replaced. The grout work in the interior of the house is all cracking and popping out of the tile. Tuckpointing was never done.

 + 0 moreHORIBBLE!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Ironically, we received a referral for this company from my in-laws!! My husband and I hired them in June 20th, 2011, and our roof is only half finished as we speak. (It is June 27, 2012). So, needless to say, they did not finish the job. They asked for credit card up front as a deposit and ran the entire amount...(Our stupidity there), however, did arrive to do part of the work as scheduled. Days went by after the first day with no call from the owner. I contacted him several times with no reply. When we called him from another friends phone, he apologized all over the place and said that he would be back the next day. Well to no surprise, no one showed. We called several more times, with no reply. We had left messages multiple times stating that we would need a refund or we would get a lawyer involved. Still no response. He finally did call back one time, and stated he had just been so busy and overbooked himself, and figured, would rather p*** one customer off (us), than to loose a lot more business. He had us booked first, however, had his full pay, so decided to drop us and move on. Thank the wonderful wonderful Lord that we paid this company with our credit card. After a few weeks of investigation, all $6500 that he charged was taken from his acct and put back into ours. I would never, ever, ever, ever, ever, recommend this company. It became humorous after several months of an unfinished room, we left his advertisement in the front yard so our neighbors can see the beautful roof!! Ha.
