I am getting my house ready to go on the market. Saint Louis Painting did some interior/exterior painting, crown molding, and basement repair/waterproof work for me. They were fast, professional, knowledgeable and AFFORDABLE! They even worked with me on the price, knowing that I was on a budget. They did a great job for me and I will use them again.

Sonny, the owner, was very pleasant to deal with in providing the estimate. He even volunteered to clean our gutters in the price, without my inquiring. He sent Klayton (yes, that is the spelling) to do the washing and wood preparation on a Saturday. Klayton returned on Monday to finish the preparation and did some of the painting, returning on Tuesday to finish up. Klayton proved to be a very pleasant young man with whom to work. He took great pride in his work and wanted to be sure that we were satisfied with it.

It is a rule of thumb when hiring a contractor that you can get only two of the three things you look for-- price, quality, and reliability. Sunny is that rare contractor who gives all three! I especially appreciated his willingness to stick with the job until it was done the way I wanted it, adding some extras and repainting some areas to please me.

Overall he gets a "A" for his effort in trying to please us. While the job was not easy he tried ot do the work cheerfully and as complete as he could. Sonny worked the job himself with his crew of three including his wife. With all contractors there are always little things that go right or wrong. But Sonny did work to correct the items that we didn't like and was cheerful about making the corrections.

Nightmare ! Attempting to hold me hostage for more money ! Has been paid in full and ahead of time, have cancelled checks to prove it ! Not professional !

"It is a shame that this customer continued to change the parameters of the project. She wanted a $5,200 faux finish customer project but only wanted to pay $1,850. When people become unreasonable a contractor must sit with the customer and explain what they were paying for and request more funds to meet the individuals desires. We had contacted Better Business Bureau during the process and had requested them to offer a mediation session which the customer refused. We had lost over $2,000 during the course of this process and we did not walk off the job. Our materials and paints, ladders, and tarps are still awaiting us to finish the project. This lady has refused to allow us to retrieve our materials. The customer is not always right. She did not prepay the project and had paid a portion a week before we took two days off for another project. We are the absolute best. We have gone so far beyond the norm to please this lady, but there is just no pleasing someone who wants something for nothing."

I found Sonny of Saint Louis Painting on Angie's List and picked him because of his long track record in painting, his quick response, his close proximity, plus multiple references elsewhere on the internet. Sonny moves fast, with a crew, including his Chinese wife; he painted our house in three days, very quickly after my first phone call. Patchwork, such as rebuilding rotten trim, fixing the edge of rotten door frames, and putty/glazing particularly bad windows, was included in the price. The crew works very hard, for long days, and I appreciate that they took care not to paint the windows shut. In fact, they opened a dining room window that had been painted shut for ten years, which makes me very happy. I would say the clean up was good, but not excellent, but only because it's really hard to do a perfect clean up job at the end of a long, long day. In total, we had a very good experience with Saint Louis Painting, and appreciate a quality job, done right, very quickly, at a fair price.

Went very well. Very professional. Brought tons of tarps, did a wonderful, clean, tidy, perfect job. Very reasonable, quoted more work at very reasonable prices.
