crushed leg at work and dr weltmer was dr on call at hospital. It took nearly two years with numerous surgeries than infection but regained use of leg and he saved my leg. I now just have a stiff ankle. He was very personable and very comfortable for my wife and I to interact and talk to him.

I was so pleased (having had a bad experience and much misinformation from my family practitioner) with Dr. Crane. Things that are important when you're in pain: I got in right away, his office staff got me scheduled for an MRI right away. Unlike the GP, he actually examined the patient by doing a brief neurological exam, was very non-alarmist, took time to explain things, and took appropriate steps to cure body and soothe soul. His staff is accessible, intelligent, polite, and responsive. Good when you have questions, need to get copies of records, etc. Dr. Crane practices primarily in St. Louis (across the river from us) but one day a week serves this side of the river at St. Clair Orthopedics, 33 Bronze Pointe, Suite 120, Swansea, IL 62226. (618) 257-1177. That is where I saw him. It's the same practice, but different size and office staff, and not every doctor from the practice in St. Louis serves the Swansea office.
