Rosco Electric did excellent work for us installing GFCI outlets and other repairs. Responsive and professional: returned our initial call promptly and communicated key information via phone and email. They were also accommodating when I asked for an updated invoice to document more details about the work.

The overall experience was wonderful. Rosco Electric is prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. I will use the a third time and I will refer them. To boot, they are animal lovers!

There were several small problems but two major ones. 1. The hot and neutral wires were reversed on one section. This is an extremely dangerous mistake, the sort of thing that every professional electrician knows to avoid. 2. The paperwork and inspections with the city were not filed even nearly on time, creating major hassles. 3. Although they assured me on the phone that they'd been out to the house and fixed the hot/neutral problem (I live elsewhere) they in fact had not fixed it. In other words, they lied about a dangerous and illegal wiring problem.

This was a very straightforward project, particularly since there were already boxes in the ceilings. The electrician was well-prepared (big tool belt) and knowledgable of old houses. I was particularly impressed that he didn't complain or take shortcuts when he discovered that he needed to make a couple trips back to his truck from the third floor just for a small tool or something (he was a big guy and we have steep stairs).

The initial contact to my inquiry was close to immediate and they were able to schedule an electrician at the time slot I wanted. Dale came at the appointed time and was professional and courteous. He completed the work very quickly. There was no wasted time running up the clock. He spent time reviewing my electrical work to the garage which ran off of a switch in my kitchen. When he discovered the previously electrical work was not exactly up to code, he took the time to contact the City office to see if a permit was issued for the work. Since my parents were there when he completed the work and I was in the office, he made a point of calling me at my office to make sure I understood the issues and his recommendation. I am very pleased with my selection of Roscoe and will never have to look for another electrician again.

Quote was performed in timely fashion. I called to schedule work on a Monday and the work was performed on the following Friday. They called Friday morning to confirm. The electrician was punctual, courteous, and professional.

The problem developed on Saturday. Rosco was closed over the weekend, but sent someone Monday afternoon. He did everything we wanted, and was very friendly and helpful. We have used Rosco before, and always had good results, at a good price.

A while ago, they hung ceiling lights for me. One was a glass chandelier and they did a very good job too. They are great, they are a small company so they are dependable, competent and reasonably priced. I have only seen two of their workers and they have both been quick at doing their job. With the circuits problem, we couldn't be happier because we had thought that we were going to need a complete rewiring. They were able to fix it without doing so. They have a good person at the office for scheduling as well.

The work was done within 24 hours of my telephone call. The electrician was courteous, professional, and cleaned up after himself. He took the extra step to show me how to remove the wall sconce cover for cleaning. This will save me time in the future, because the removal process isn't obvious. I've used Rosco three other times in the past and find the company to be professional, efficient, and fairly priced.

The serviceman was on time and polite. After he installed the 220 outlet I discovered that it was sparking and shorting out on the box. I informed the serviceman and he opened the box, found the short and repaired it by wrapping with electrical tape.

We're extremely satisfied with Rosco - reasonably priced, and preliminary estimates were on the mark. Workmen have always shown up when they're supposed to, work diligently and do a neat job, and clean up after themselves. Lynn the lady who answers phone is pleasant and helpful, and never makes me feel like I'm being difficult even though I'm a pretty demanding customer. Neil (owner?) was especially helpful in finding a way to install sconces in our old house, did a beautiful job modifying 4 very expensive sconces to have built-in switches. Only complaint is that inspection of some of the bigger work took months to schedule and complete, but I can't tell if it was because of Rosco or Univ. City's inspectors, and Lynn was very apologetic instead of copping attitude when I followed up.

Electrician tried to repair switches for 3 hours, and did not get them fixed. He told us that he didn't know what was wrong, and had to be called back twice because, even though he had declared the problem "fixed", it was not. Did not fix the photocell, I did. He did try, but never really figured out the problem. Couldn't figure out how to repair the radio switch. I did that myself. I haven't gotten a bill yet, but it was the in the neighborhood of $180. It may be that they have decided against sending a bill because of their obvious inability to carry out any of the jobs.

THEY CAME OUT THE SAME DAY, AND DID THE WORK FOR $115.00 (OTHER QUOTES I GOT WERE AROUND $225). I GOT THREE OR FOUR BIDS, AND WAS FLABBERGASTED WHEN HE TOLD ME HIS PRICE. ANOTHER EXPERIENCE I HAD WITH THEM: ONE OF MY TENANTS WAS MESSING WITH THE BREAKER BOX, AND I HAD THEM COME OUT, AND REPLACE THE BREAKER, DID SOME OTHER WORK, AND CHANGED SOME THINGS IN THE BOX, AND IT WAS ONLY $85.00. GREAT WORK AT A GREAT PRICE! VERY PROFESSIONAL, PLEASANT, AND NEAT/CLEAN.

THE COMPANY HAD EXCELLENT SERVICE FROM THE BEGINNING TO END OF SERVICE. THEY EVEN TRIED TO HELP ME OVER THE PHONE TO SOLVE A PROBLEM, SO I WOULDN'T NEED A SERVICE CALL. THEY TOLD ME WHAT THE CHARGE WAS UPFRONT. EVEN MANAGED TO GET ME IN WITHIN 2 HOURS OF 1ST CONTACT. I KNOW THAT'S NOT ALWAYS POSSIBLE.

THE PRICE FOR THE THEIR WORK COME IN AT TWICE THE ESTIMATE. THE FIRST LABORER SENT TO WORK ON THE POOL DID NOT KNOW WHAT THE JOB WAS. HE SMOKED CIGRAETTES ALL DAY AND THREW THE BUTTS IN THE YARD AND DRIVEWAY. THE WORK DID NOT PASS INSPECTION THE FIRST TIME AROUND, EVEN THOUGH ONLY MINOR ADJUSTMENTS WERE NEEDED TO SATISFY INSPECTION.
