Rogers Piano Movers was timely & did what they said that they would when they said that they would do it. Carefully handled some very pricy items. Great communication on a reasonably priced interstate move. Would use again & recommend.

We contracted Roger's Piano Moving to transport our piano across town. They did a fine job of that and set it up well; however we really wanted the piano to go in our new finished basement, and the movers insisted that it couldn't fit down the stairwell. They ended up setting it up in a spare bedroom because that was the only place it wasn't in the way--not ideal. We called another piano mover and sent them pictures of the piano and the stairwell. Without even measuring, they said it would be no problem to take it down to the basement, and they came out and did it easily. We feel that Rogers just didn't want to be bothered going down the stairs, which was disappointing, and of course, we had to pay the second movers after we had already paid Rogers.

The employees were very professional and knew how to maneuver the winding steps while carrying my heavy piano. I highly recommend them!

Contracted Rogers to move piano to new home. They had moved this piano on two occasions before for me without issue. On this move, they showed up on time and remembered moving the piano before. They stated it was a difficult piano to move as it is ornate and very heavy on the backend. Move seemed to be going well until they arrived at new house. I watched from 10-15' away as they unloaded from truck. I watched as the piano tipped forward as the two guys moved it down a loading ramp on the truck. I watched as the weight for the entire piano leaned on the foot pedal assembly and snapped the wood on the support leading to the foot.
THEY BROKE MY PIANO.
After moving it inside - the foreman of the group explained how the entire assembly could have been taken off prior to moving it - why on earth this was never suggested before we started - and this, the third time they have moved it - I will never know. Likely the wood can be glued back together - I will be doing the gluing it seems. The guy asked if I wanted something 'knocked off' for my efforts. What the f$%#@#$ are you supposed to say to that? I said yes, and he graciously (this is sarcasm) knocked off $35 from the agreed upon $205 for the move.
I had neither the time nor the energy to argue. He even said, I was pretty calm about it and that a lot of folks would have been much more upset.
Don't use these guys - if they have skills beyond heavy lifting that has something to do with pianos, they don't offer them up - like perhaps a suggestion to take off the foot assembly before starting.
Never again.

Response from ROGER'S PIANO & ORGAN MOVING
"This piano was in very bad shape as they were told on two other occasions. The joints were all loose and the customer was told every time we moved it. You do not unasemble upright pianos clearly this customer is not familiar with the steps of moving a piano. We take every means to protect each and every piano we move. We have been in business sine 1954 . about 90% of our work is referral work which is a great deal we have a 5 star rating with the Better Business Bureau not many companies can say that."
