Cake Decorating
THE WEDDING CAKE AT RIEDEL'S WAS PART OF THE PACKAGE AT THE HOTEL WHERE WE HAD OUR RECEPTION. AT OUR TASTING, WE WERE INTERRUPTED NUMEROUS TIMES, WHICH I FOUND UNPROFESSIONAL. THE OWNER HERSELF AGREED TO DO THE CAKE FOR US. I KNEW EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED - SOMETHING VERY SIMPLE - NO FOUNTAINS, NOTHING FANCY, SINCE WE PLANNED TO PUT FRESH FLOWERS ON THE CAKE. WHEN I DESCRIBED THE CAKE I WANTED, THE OWNER ACTED AS IF IT WAS A BIG HASSLE! SHE WAS UPSET THAT MY FIANCE AND I DIDN'T CHOOSE A MORE ELABORATE FANCY CAKE. I LEFT THAT DAY NOT FEELING CONFIDENT THAT THE CAKE WOULD TURN OUT HOW WE WANTED - NOT EXACTLY WHAT A BRIDE NEEDS A FEW WEEKS BEFORE HER WEDDING.
