Non visibile structural damage was discovered and repaired quickly and in a very professional manner. Additional charges for this extra work were quite reasonable.

I can't say enough positive things about Republic. Everyone, from the receptionist to the owner were great. We received a lot of bids and had a lot of choices, but we decided to go with Republic and couldn't be happier. They will be the first company I call for any and all future roofing needs. The project manager, Mike, was quite honestly one of the nicest people I have ever worked with. He answered every question I had and even came by the house after the work was done to show me around and explain exactly what they did.

It went well. They had a small crew who appeared to be regular employees, not just a pick up crew. They were very fast, very neat and so far so good. They had reroofed another home for me years back with traditional shingles. I would have used them sooner on this newer home but they were not doing flat roofs or the modified bitman when I needed it done the last few times.

They completely removed all existing shingles on entire roof area and installed new shingles and a ridge vent system. They also replace rotten plywood and raised a low rafter on front. They worked well and did a good job in cleaning up afterwards.

I've generally had good luck with Republic. They weren't as involved or thorough or committed as Signature is. They were pretty responsive, they responded within a week. They cleaned up as far as I could see.

I contacted Republic Roofing because they have advertised in the program for our church play since 2006. I explained our problem over the phone and made an appointment. Terry Krause arrived right on time to take a look at the wall from the inside, and then we went up onto the roof. He found that the flashing around the chimney had come loose, and that squirrels had gotten to the lead covers for the plumbing vents. He submitted one written estimate for fixing those problems, as well as another for replacing the entire roof, since it's now 22 years old.
We decided to go with the less expensive estimate, as the roof is still holding up pretty well. We're very pleased with the work done by Republic Roofing.

I had used Republic Roofing 18 years ago to replace our home and detached garage roofs. They did a wonderful job. When I had roof damage from hail last year I called and got an estimate. There were no leaks, my insurance payment extended, so my work was delayed til this spring, with my agreement, so that Terry could service others who had roofing problems.
When the time came and the weather cleared, the work was done over 2 days on a Friday and a Monday. Over the weekend it rained. Both roofs were only partially finished on Friday. Before the workers left, we were left watertight, and experienced no problems. No use of tarps or other iffy things. Work was left at a good stopping point and work was completed in such a manner that there would be no need for temporary fixes.
At the outset of each day the workers completely covered and protected our walks and landscaping. I was concerned about nails on the driveway, which passes one end of the house. Removal was done with shovels, in stages, and hand carried to the truck. Very nice. New roofing was hand nailed by the workers...no nailguns.
Each day, it seemed like all employees walked the perimeter of their work, seeking nails and other old shingle trash. It was impossible, without looking up, to determine that we were replacing our roof. Unlike other roofs replaced in the neighborhood, even on similarly sized homes, ours was done more quickly and with considerably less noise from nailguns and workers.
On the final day, after reloading the trucks, they cleaned up completely after themselves. There was no mess left. I scouted the property and I found 1 nail, hidden in the fold of a tarp covering firewood, and a single piece of the old roof the size of a silver dollar.
Nine months after the initially bid, work was billed on the basis of bid, with less than $50 for additional rotten roof boards that were replaced.

Republic is quite possibly one of the best roofing companies in St. Louis, and it is one of two companies that still nails shingles by hand. This allows them to feel when the shingles are properly secured to the roof. The company is very responsive to phone calls and questions.

Before the work began, the owner came out with many samples and provided lots of helpful advice about which shingles would be the best for the roof. Furthermore, the installers are very polite and have taken great care to avoid damaging the property while they work. They even have one man walking around the perimeter to make sure no debris or nails fall into the yard.

.They are very good but it took along time to come out to do the work as they are a very busy company. It didn't take them to long to do the roof and replace a skylight.

Terry came out to give us a quote in April of 2011, received his quote promptly but could not sign contract until we got final word from our insurance company. Due to bad storm season (tornados of 2011) we were not going to be on schedule until the fall. Inorder to choose our roofing color in a format larger than a brochure, we were reffered to their supplier, who gave a glowing review of Republic and were very helpful/generous with samples to take home and keep. Still unable to decide what color to choose we contacted Republic and they were able to send a list of addresses where our top color choices were used. As fall approached I did call a couple of times to see how close they were getting to us and my calls were always returned. The crew that came out arrived early each morning but respectfully waited for appointed start time before gearing up for the day. They did a great job and I would reccomend them to anyone that asked. Terry stopped by while the guys were working to see how things were going and check in with us. I would like to note that our roof is complicated with a lot of peaks and valleys, which did affect the cost. Of the quotes we received Republic was a few hundred less than another well known St Louis company and a bit more than a small independent installer. I apprecitated the fact that Republic would recycle our old shingles and it was a big factor in choosing them.

It took 10 days to do the job. I didn't really like their work. We had discussed doing the whole thing and they only did a partial roof. They didn't touch the back at all. The price was fair; it was okay. The people were fine and good. I don't know if they really solved the problem or not because I haven't had a heavy rain.

We got several bids and theirs was competitive. They showed up on time and did a very good job. It turned out great. They seemed very professional. Putting a roof on can be a messy job as they pull out the old roof. People have their roofs repaired or replaced, and would find shingles or nails around their yard a year later, but Republic Roofing Co. was really good. They also cleaned up after themselves. The roof looks fine. I am very pleased. I haven't had any problems. I guess I wouldn't have any problems for the next 30 years or so. I would certainly recommend them.

We were very happy with the service provided by Republic. I initially called them because we had a leak over our bedroom. Mike came out and looked at our roof and told us that our roof was fine and that the leak was likely due to our siding. I really appreciated his honesty and he referred us to a siding company that did a great job repairing our siding. They did come back to put in the ridge vent and make some repairs to a different roof. They got the work finished in one day and cleaned up after themselves. We will definitely use thejm again!

Our experience with getting a quote from them was fine. They seemed to be professional and they were timely on getting back to us. They were also straightforward with us. The problem was that we live in a duplex and there is no clear break between the roofs on either side and they were straight up with us about not really being able to do one half of the roof. They were the only one to be honest. Two other people said they could do it but I appreciated the honesty from the original company.

Wonderfully. We called them after another roofer failed to do the job. They were extremely responsive and so much more professional than the other guys; we shoud have gone with Republic in the first place. They knew their business very well and did exactly what they said they would do. It was a pleasure to work with them.

Within a couple day of my calling, Republic's estimator stopped by the house and looked at the problem - I did not even have to be there to meet him. He faxed me the estimate and within a few days the problem was fixed. Once again a simple no hassel job.
