Used Protection 1 for several years. The service was outstanding.

The installer arrived on time and took all the right safety measures. He had a hard time working out the wiring for the existing home sensors including window break sensors and reed switches. After two days finally gave up and put in standard wireless sensors offered in the base package as well as the cellular alarm. I got the impression that the cellular communication was the standard not the existing phone line. The new control panels were smaller than the old and they made no attempt to patch the unsightly hole left behind leaving it up to me instead. During the installation I called the sales man he said he would call back but never did bad form old chap!!! I had to badger the installer to get a simple key fob to activate the system. There is a 3 year contract.

They were very responsive. We had a couple things that weren't exactly right and they immediately fixed them. I have no complaints at all. I will continue to use them.

They are very customer service friendly. We have used them for 8 years and they have been very reliable. I think the monthly fee is very reasonable and it is worth the peace of mind and security.

The entire process went very well. Mr. Anderson was very understanding about a few complications that came up in my life and we worked around my schedule for our meetings and for the installation. The entire Protection One group was very accommodating. Gerald, the installer was very polite, punctual, and made sure that the system worked as expected by thoroughly testing everything before leaving. Protection One was also not afraid that I have cats - one as large as a small toddler - they made sure the system would accommodate that as well. Mr. Anderson also explained the benefits of the wireless system over the wired system for my particular situation and how their system would work with my cats (whereas other companies were very hesitant to deal with me because of the cats). Overall my experience was very positive. The only negative is that wireless monitoring costs an extra $10/month, land lines are becoming less common it shouldn't cost more - perhaps that will change.

Protection One provides home alarm and fire alarm monitoring. They respond to my calls in a timely manner. They are pleasant and helpful on the phone.
