CLINT, ONE OF THE FLORISTS AT PICK FLOWER GALLERY, HELPED TO CREATE A VERY SPECIAL FLOWER ARRANGEMENT FOR ME. I WAS ATTENDING THE ANNUAL BENEFIT CONCERT FOR THE SHELDON, AN INTIMATE PERFORMANCE SPACE IN ST. LOUIS. THE GUEST ARTIST IN APRIL 2005 WAS AUDRA MCDONALD, A FOUR-TIME TONY WINNER, AND ONE OF MY FAVORITE SINGERS. I WANTED TO PROVIDE A FLORAL TRIBUTE TO HER AT THE END OF THE CONCERT, AND CLEARLY NO ORDINARY ARRANGEMENT WOULD DO. CLINT HELPED TO CREATE A BEAUTIFUL BOUQUET OF WHITE ''CASA BLANCA'' LILIES, WHITE ROSES, AND OTHER FLOWERS THAT WAS EYE-CATCHING WITHOUT BEING OVER-THE-TOP. IT'S GREAT TO HAVE A FLORIST IN THE CENTRAL WEST END AGAIN, PARTICULARLY ONE WHO LISTENS TO HIS CUSTOMERS REQUESTS AND THEN EXECUTES THEM IN A VERY CREATIVE FASHION.
