After the demo of the bathroom there were never ending problems. I purchased all of the materials and showed them to Phil and his team before any of the work began. There was no concern expressed about anything I had chosen, including the mosaic marble tile for the floor and the subway tiles with a hand made look for the shower walls. The floor was installed without the use of leveler causing major unevenness, large gaps could be seen between the sheets of tile, and cracked tiles were used. I pointed all of this out to Phil and that's when he told me that it is a difficult tile to work with and that he usually charges more to install it, but he didn't say anything to me before his guys put it in. I would have selected a different tile if I had known it was going to be such a problem. They tore it out, at their cost, due to all of the issues. They had also installed the shower tile, which I thought looked ok at first until they grouted it. It was the worst grout job I have ever seen. There was a ton of excess grout and it looked very messy. I asked Phil if his guys could fix it and he started telling me that it looks that way because of the tile that I chose and that it was a difficult tile to work with. He never said anything to me about it before they installed it. His solution was to scrape off the excess grout, but there was no way that it was going to look right. I ended up firing Phil and his team. I hired someone else, who was specifically a tile installer, to redo the floor and the shower. The second guy tore out the shower tile and discovered that Phil's team did not waterproof before installing the tile, even though Phil assured me that they did when I asked him. My brand new bathtub, which was installed by Phil and his team, got chipped and scratched up while Phil's guys worked on the tile. It looks so bad that I have to have it re-glazed. I has started refinishing the window in the bathroom and stripped off the first several layers of paint. There were patches of paint that remained and I asked Phil if his guys could sand it down to be smooth before repainting it. They did not sand it and instead painted over the partially stripped wood which made it look worse than it was originally. This created so much more work for me. Overall the communication was not great since it was Phil's team at my house and Phil was hardly every there due to other projects. Since Phil wanted me to contact him about everything there was a delay in communication with his guys and this caused things to be missed or done before they knew what I wanted. There were many problems with the work along the way that I had to point out. I was surprised by some of the things I had to bring their attention to because it seemed pretty obvious that it was wrong or looked bad. The most disappointing thing about this whole experience is the fact that I hired Phil and his team to remodel my bathroom because he had done work on my house before without any issues (gutting the attic, putting in new insulation, redoing the front closet, and fixing up and painting the baseboards). I now know so much more about the remodeling process and what questions I need to ask before work starts.

Terrible. I have had nothing but problems with the work that was done and with Mr. Marlow. First off, he removed the satellite dish from my roof and did not replace. When I contacted him about it, he apologized and said he would return the dish. Well, he returned it, just left a dish on my patio, did not replace on roof. When I inspected further, the dish said Dish Network on it. I had Direct TV. So long story short, he eventually admitted his guys threw mine away. He told me that they assumed that since we were no longer living in the house, it wasn't needed. I explained that we were in fact staying there on weekends til the house sold and I was stil paying for Direct TV. Next, while waiting for Direct TV to come reinstall dish, we have a brief rainstorm, and water begins leaking into my living room. I did not have a leak before the new roof. The leak was around the chimney. Upon further inspection, my husband observes that they did not in fact replace the flashing around the chimney. Mr. Marlow's invoice states that he installed new flashing. When I contacted him, he said he would come over and fix the leak & the flashing, telling me , "don't freak out", which I did not appreciate. His attempt to repair the leak apparently was to just put a big wad a tar on top of the new shingles. Did not address the flashing issue. The leak seems to be fixed, but when my buyer had his home inspection, it was discovered that the "repair" was done improperly. The report stated: Flashing: Aluminum - Roofing contract stated that new step flashing and new counter flashing would be installed. The original flashing is still present. New shingles have been improperly installed on top of original step flashing. Leak has been improperly repaired with significant amount of tar. Contact original roofing contractor to remove tar and properly install flashing around chimney's per contract. When I forwarded this to Phill, he said he would take care of. Apparently his solution was to just install counter flashing over the whole mess, which was discovered when my buyer inspected on what was to be his final walk thru before closing. This made my buyer suspect of the whole roof, so he had another roofing contractor look at it. He reported that there are way more problems with the work done. So now, the sale of the house is in limbo. I am having a third party inspect to tell me if my buyers roofer in right about the other problems, as neither one of us have confidence in the work done by Mr. Marlow at this point. I have contacted Mr. Marlow about this and he has stated that he is done, and that some other roofers opinion doesn't matter. At this point, I'm not sure what my options are, but I will probably have to give the buyer a credit to have the roof done to his satisfaction, which according to his roofer who reviewed the work means a complete tear off and redo to the tune of $8000. So a new roof, which should have been a selling point to my house, has become a costly impediment. Bottom line is that I wish I had never called Phill Marlow.

Everything went fine once Ameren cut the power to the line tangled in the limb. Phil showed on time with 4 guys they did a great job removing the limb from my house and window without any further damages Priceless! They hauled the wood away and even helped clean up the broken glass. After having that limb hanging on my house for almost 3 days I was very happy to see everything turn out so well!

I called Phil Marlow, he came over the next day to take a look at the chimney. He didn't have a ladder so he thought only tuckpointing would be needed in addition to the new flashing. When John, the mason, looked at the chimney from the roof, he realized there was a lot of damage and it needed to be rebuilt. I agreed, I talked to Phil and within 3 days it was all done. They will come back and put a cap on the top after we have our liner installed for our new fire place. Can't wait for them to put some new drywall up in our guest bedroom once the fireplace is installed.

He came in and repaired my windows and he did great job. I would recommend him to anyone with small problems as well. He was very professional in everything that he did around my house.
