I have EXTREEMLY high customer service standards and Chuck exceeded them! In fact his business card states that they will exceed expectations and they did. I called on a Tuesday explaining what we needed done and how short our timeline was. We took possession of the home Wednesday afternoon. Chuck came out to review and quote the job. The next morning he purchased the paint and came by with his painter, Mark. Mark patched the flaws in the wall and did an exceptional job on the painting. He was professional, friendly, efficient and very, very good at his job. It was obvious that both Chuck and Mark take pride in what they do.

Please do not mistake the ability to complete a job so quickly as an indication that this company is not busy. They definitely are but we had a very unique situation and a real need. Because the phone rings to Chuck, the owner, he took the time to hear our story and respond. He was able to shuffle some things around and meet our need. I'm confident that he did not leave anyone else in the lurch. That isn't his style. This man built his company with great integrity and his workers reflect that.

If you are looking for a large company with a small feel, I couldn't give a higher recommendation to Chuck and his crew! The work was exemplary. 

Chuck was really great to work with and I feel like I now have someone I can trust for anything I need done around our home. He's a no BS kind of guy and I appreciate that. His crew completed my deck in just a few hours and it looks great. I can't recommend this company enough.

The owner was friendly, prompt, and professional.  Took time to walk through the estimate with me, explained in detail how they would do the work.  The actual work was high quality - no complaints.  Will use them again.

Extraordinarily well.  Chuck is the most straightforward and contractor I've met in St. Louis, and very professional.  He and his crew arrive on time, prepared to work, and don't stop until the job is done including clean-up.  He is responsive to phone calls and texts.  Although his quote for the deck was higher than some others, his emphasis on ensuring structural stability and quality were more than worth it.  He gave me great ideas for the deck, and it looks better than I could have imagined.
I'm preparing to sell my house, and as a part of that I have a couple remaining cosmetic jobs that need to be done.  I'm definitely calling him first!

Work was satisfactorily completed.  I did have some communication issues (regarding timeliness of reply and also scope of work in Chuck's quote) but were able to get it worked out.

The experience was great.  PCS was contracted to scrape and repaint facia boards, gutters and downspouts on a two story house. Additionally, they repainted a couple of doors and windows for no additional cost.   The quality of the work was great, they finished the job very quickly (one day) and cleaned everything up the next morning.  I would definitely hire PCS again.

WE SOLD THE HOUSE IN ONE DAY!!!  When my mom died in September we were overwhelmed with the loss, the funeral arrangements and what to do with the house she had lived in for 50 years.  We had used PCS for a smaller job and were pleased with the company so gave them a call to assess what needed to be done with the house to get it in shape to sell.  Chuck showed up promptly and began with the exterior of the house.  He made a list of probable code violations, repairs, replacements and possible solutions.  Once in the house he went through the same process going room to room, making suggestions on how to make the most impact with the least amount of money.  He knew our budget was not huge so he looked at ways to salvage, repair and only when necessary, replace.  We agreed on the "list" and work started within a couple of days.  The workers were on time, professional and cleaned up after themselves.  Then we discovered the surprise termite infestation behind the kitchen wall.  This was a load bearing wall and seemed a huge undertaking to have to remove and replace.  Chuck assured us, it was not a big deal, he was obviously well versed in structural repairs and impressed on me once again, the beauty of working with a professional.  The work progressed quickly, and the house turned out beautiful.  The extra touches he had recommended, like putting a higher quality baseboard in the living room made a huge impact.  We put the house on the market on a Friday and had 3 contracts bidding against each other by the next day.  We sold the house for more than we were asking in a historically soft market!  The experience was so positive and pleasant that we would recommend this company and Chuck Corman to anyone having either a small or major renovation. 

The painter worked non-stop for three working days. I don't think they stopped for lunch. I would hire them again and I would also recommend their work. My neighbors walked by and complemented on the beauty and quality of their work.

I think their pricing was reasonable. They were very conscientious and were able to work around any surprises they found in my old house. They were diligent, got it done and moved on. I will use them again in the future and recommend them to my friends whenever I can.

They were punctual and stuck to the estimate quoted earlier. They clean up before they leave and are very professional. Their prices were competitive. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

I called 2 companies and Chuck Carmen responded ASAP and we made appointment for next day. After going over the details of work and my concerns, Chuck took the time to actually write up an estimate on the spot. He also told me the locations of some of his past work, that were similar to the job I was looking for. After getting the bid and talking to Chuck, I told him I was going to check out one of his properties. He offered to take me on a tour of his work. I must say this was a first. We went to 5 or 6 properties in the city and Soulard area and met one of his partners Bob. I saw some different color combinations and felt very comfortable with his companies work. The second contractor called and said he was busy this week and asked if he could schedule after Labor Day. We never heard from them again, but my wife and I had decided to go with Chuck Carmen without a second bid. Chuck came back to house and went over color wheel paint schemes and spent a couple of hours talking colors with my wife and we signed the contract. The job required a lot of prep work. Power washing, scraping, matching and building crown molding on front porch. I had to work out of town for a week and Chuck would call and give me updates. When I returned there were a couple of days left, Chuck was working on lower painting of windows, Bob was working on some siding and deck repair that I added on after the bid and Chris doing alot of the high trim painting. Painting started @ 8am. They used tarps, kept the site clean, and when my neighbors came bye they were very humble in receiving compliments on the house. Chuck even helped me instal a new storm door and he painted it for me N/C. (saved me a special order) My Wife and I are satisfied beyond expectations and would use Chuck Carmen and his team again and be glad to recommend to a friend.

It went very well from the get go. I have not had my house very long as I bought a fixer upper. All exterior painted wood was peeling with some rotting and needed a serious makeover. I had about 5 appointments to receive bids for the work and Chuck was the only one to show up on time and on the appointed day. He had to finish up another job but when he started scraping/painting he worked straight through to get the job done in a fashionable manner. We had to rent a lift to work on the 40 ft high cornice which was quite expensive and so Chuck worked through the weekend with his crew to reduce any extra days of renting the lift. Much appreciated. Chuck also subcontracted a carpenter to rebuild any rotten parts of the cornice. He held the carpenter to a professional manner that he would want himself. The house looks great and now with the extra bit of trim on the cornice the house looks unique and finalized. Great service and very professional. By hiring Chuck you will know you will be getting one of the best jobs done for your money.

Overall it went excellent. Chuck arrived on time and began removing wall paper. He then proceeded to paint all the trim in the house, then the interior walls and ceilings. He removed the ice maker from the kitchen and fixed the trim behind it. He then removed the panel between the kitchen and family room. He patched the walls before painting. He then steam cleaned the kitchen floor and attached the light fixture in the master bedroom. He then power washed the exterior. He was excellent to work with . . . very professional, thorough, friendly. He offered tips on how to proceed with the project which were very helpful. We had a deadline because the house was scheduled for an Open House. He completed the job on time and on budget. I could highly recommend Chuck to anyone seeking his services.

Excellent! Chuck was very professional, courteous, and worked around our schedule so that having work done was seamless to our everyday lifestyle. We have never had a better experience with any hired contractor.

Met estimated price, was neat and clean about it all. Showed up ON TIME and completed project ON TIME. This guy is a perfectionist and if you know anything about working with contractors in the city of St. Louis you know how hard it is to find someone who does exactly what they say they will let alone show up. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Found him working on a rehab across the street. The rest is history.
