They have a long waiting list, but did not tell us up front.  We were VERY happy with the skill of their crew when they were able to get to our job.  The crew did amazing work to make sure we had the right tiles needed to make the roof look great.  We now have correct flashings at our window walls, chimneys and dormers.  They even suggested a minor change to the roof line to improve the ability to shed water.  Now it looks like the house has always had that roof line.
We will have them inspect annually now.
Make sure your timing lines up with theirs before you commit to a large project.

We were selling the house with a small time window to complete repairs before closing. It was difficult to find a company that was able/willing to take on such a small job on a tight deadline, but Old World was beyond prompt, and the rate was perfectly fair (another company was willing to do the work, but their estimate was 10x the fair rate). Old World's willingness to satisfy a customer on such a small job--as inconvenient as it may have been--has ensured that they'll be the first call when we have a big job in the future.

Original roof was damaged by hail storm.  The old roof was intact so there was no emergency.
There was a delay in getting the slate and further delay due to our very cold winter with so much snow.
As we neared the insurance deadline, the men worked in very cold weather to complete the job on time.
John was always available by phone to answer any questions.
They were very professional and courteous.

They came out to see why I had a wet spot on the front porch roof. It was a complicated problem because of a previous repair from another roofer that was deteriorating. Dan tried to fix it with the least amount of cost (which I appreciated very much!) but finally we just had to replace the whole front of the roof over the porch.
On the day of the repair they arrived on time, worked very hard in the searing summer heat and took care of all details. Dan also came out to explain what they would be doing and how this would finally fix the problem. They cleaned up all debris and left they place clean swept.
This is a reliable and honest company that will fix your roof correctly. They are very ethical and will take care of any problem until it is fixed. The workmen are polite, have attention to detail and are well trained in their trade. I would not hesitate to  call them at any time to do more work on my roof.

My roof was damaged by a hail storm in April of 2011.  I did not experience any roof leaks for some time after that, but two roofers confirmed, and my insurance company agreed that the leaking was caused by hail damage.  I signed a contract for replacement of the roof in December of 2011, at which time, the contractor made a temporary repair of the leak.  Replacement of the roof did not commence until September of 2012.  I do not believe the delay was the fault of the contractor due to unavoidable delays in obtaining materials from suppliers and the large amount of storm damage in the area at the time.  Once started, the job was finished quickly. The work was done in a very professional manner.  The workers were friendly and courteous.

Well,I already told you how it went form start to finish.I just wish I could have seen that squirrel chasing that roofer down the street.      I guess I have to say more. OK. I hired them in March and they did not actually do the work ,, ,. until November. So of course I was worried about my roof leaking more doing this time. however when they actually started the work, i am convinced that they did a very thorough job.
the leak was only in a very localized part of the roo,but they took up at least half of the roof.
they replaced wood all over the roof where squirrels had destroyed the wood, replaced the liner  ( or whatever it is called ) and lay the tiles back down. I feel  like i got a new tile roof ( which would be very expensive ) for a bargain.
and it has saved my attic too which the squirrels were working on destroying. I had to take out all of the insulation because it stank from the droppings and my 3rd floor as a consequence also stank. The workers were very polite, friendly and brought my paper to the door every day that they were there. when they were done, they cleaned up completely and were careful
to put everything back where it was originally. they even took a large item of my own trash to dispose of on the last day that they were there.
all in all, I was very pleased with the work that they did and it was certainly worth the wait. On the last day one of the roofers went up into my attic crawl space to block off a space where the squirrels were getting in and he took a golf club to protect  him
self from the squirrels.
what a slice!

Called in the AM and spoke with Dan (owner) himself. I had seen a wet spot on the ceiling in one of the bedrooms and wanted to see if the clay tile was damaged above and needed to be replaced. Dan said he would come by between 5:30 and 6 pm. He was at the house right before 6 and after looking at the wet spot inside, he climbed on the roof and checked out the tiles above. The result was that there was debris up there which caused the rain water to not drain properly, but the clay tile underneath was intact. Dan suggested to keep an eye on it and did not even charge me. I will definitely use this company in the future, as more than half of our roof is still the original clay tile from 1921 and probably will have to be replaced at some point!
