They did an excellent job and gave great service even though it was a small job. I would definitely use them again.

We were very happy with the work that was done. All was done in accordance with what was explained to us during the estimate process, and met our expectations very well. Everything that was done looks very good, and is a big improvement to the look of our house. We have received many compliments on the work from friends and family. The job was actually done almost three months ago as I write this, and we have seen no issues with any of the concrete they replaced.

They were prompt and the work looks professional. The worker was polite and left the job site immaculately clean.

It went very well. I'd use this contractor again in a heart beat. Every one on his team did an excellent job, very professional and friendly. They are perfectionists. I'd recommend them to anyone that needs concrete work done. In the future I will hire them again to do my driveway.

Mullen showed up as promised. The work progressed swiftly with the workers performing their jobs efficiently. Clean up was done as the work progressed and did not interrupt our household routines. Mullen worked with us create a result to fit our needs and wishes. For example, we asked for the sidewalkes to have some gracefull curves instead of strihgt lines and 90 degree angles. The workers understood and made suggestions that enhanced the looks without increasing cost.

Because our front porch was confined by three Japanese Maples, the crew had very limited access to demolish and repour ( an entry space of about 6ft wide....everything had to be done manually using a jack hammer and removing the old concrete and using wheel barrells to get the new concrete in). The existing front porch was 10ft x 8ft, approximately 16 inches thick and took about 3.5 hours of continuous jack hammering to demolish it due to the thickness. The other issue the crew had to contend with was that they couldn't get any heavy equipment within 130 feet of the front porch.
Even with these site issues, DJ's crew demolished the porch, hauled away the demo matereials and repoured the porch in about 1 1/2 days of effort and did an excellent job.
As a licensed profession engineer with over 30 years in the construction industry, I would recommend Mullen Concrete as the go to firm for any concrete job.

We had 3 bidders on the project and selected Mullen Concrete based on cost, professionalism and recommendations from previous customers. Mike explained that the ramp had to be at least 4" thick all the way to where it met the garage floor level to be strong enough to prevent it from breaking. To do this he had to cut and remove a section of the floor. One other bidder was going to do the job by bonding the thin portion of the ramp to the floor which would probably not lasted long. Mike provided the written bid by email the same day he came for the estimate. He and his crew arrived on time and took care to minimize dust using water with the cutting process. The crew was considerate and cleaned up the site as they worked. As promised, they completed the job in less than a day. The finished project looks good, all the mess was cleaned up.

Took care with adjacent plantings and stone steps when digging out the old concrete. They were a little later than originally scheduled due to backups because of rain, but got the whole job done in an afternoon. The quality of the concrete work was excellent, and the workers were friendly and helpful. They told us they would be back the next day to remove the forms, but we had to call them several days later to remind them. When they removed the forms, they didn't fill in the dirt they had removed. We had to buy some topsoil and do some work ourselves to get the landscaping back to its original state.

Not so good. The job Mullen bid on was never completed to my satisfaction.

I requested the work right before we had the recent daily rains. i know when it let up they must have been very back-logged. My job was a very small one but they still got to it within days of the rain letting up. just an example of how great they are; a few years ago during their peak business time i mentioned to them when they could get time, after the peak time would they stain a 14 by 11 patio with several overlapping warm colors so it would not be as stark looking. about four months later I pulled into the property to find a beautiful stain job complete. Was surprised they remembered. I depend on these guys and they never disappoint.

These guys are great. Tom came out promptly to give an estimate and, once we signed the contract, they were here within days. Work tirelessly for 2 days. Finishing work is beautiful (Todd is the finisher and a really nice guy to work with. He threw in the garbage pad in exchange for me bringing the guys Gatorade)! Don't want to drive on it because it looks so good.

They started the work sooner than anyone else. They were responsive and punctual.

They did a very good job. When they first dug it out they took down my fence and left the yard wide open, they were hoping to finish before the snow came but it got cold before they could finish. I had to call them myself to put up an orange construction fence, which they did. Otherwise everything was excellent. Their prices were good, and I appreciated their communication with me.

After we requested a bid it did take three weeks or more to receive the proposal. I thought they may have forgotten us. Although the bid was considerably higher than another one I felt there company was more experienced and would perform and back their work better than the other company. The workers were focused and did the work but they were cavalier about tearing up mine and the neighbors lawn. Initially we were happy with the work, especially the exposed concrete in the front. We even requested a bid of similar concrete for our driveway this spring. Big complaint though. I had hoped the representative would have called me about the proposed work because I wanted to talk with him about a section of the back patio that cracked within three months. Also, one big motivation was to have the patio slant to drain rainwater. Instead water stands. I did not have the opportunity to discuss this so I called the company a week ago, reported my concern and asked someone to call or come out. So far it has not happened. I am sure this is a much better company than they proved themselves to be in this instance.

I received many quotes on the driveway replacement. Mullen was in the middle. Not the cheapest, but not the most expensive. The foreman came out in a timely manner to do the quote. I received a paper quote back in 3-4 business days. I chose them based on two strong recommendations from contractor friends. Once chosen, it took about two weeks or so to get on their schedule. They arrived promptly and early on the first day of the job. I talked with all the crew members and all of them were friendly and responsive. They seemed to also take pride in their work and did not screw around. The job site was always cleaned up at the end of the day. The foreman came out at least once during the work and once at the end to check on the progress. I may have some concrete work to do in the future, and they will be the only one I will call. They are one of those ''quiet companies.'' No big marketing campaign, just quality work.
