contractors unreliable showed up whenever they wanted came late left early. left house a mess, communication with contractors and modern kitchens representatives frustrating. will not recomend to anyone.

They are absolutely horrible. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. It got to a point where they wouldn't do anything and we had to change contractor to come out here. They are horrible and they are the worst company I have ever seen in my entire life. They put the kitchen floor down after the cabinets were in and just crap like that. They wanted to put my dishwasher with a permanent install in a corner.

Very attentive and punctual. I was very pleased with their service.

We purchased two bathroom vanities and a granite countertop. We were quoted a 4-5 week maximum time for delivery. We were installing all vanities. When we hadn't heard anything after six weeks, I called to ask where they were and was repeatedly told it will be next week, then next week, then next week, until 12 weeks later. I had to call them all the time. All they had to do was give me a call and let me know what was going on. Then, when the vanities arrived, they had not ordered the toe plates to go with the cabinets. So now we have to wait another extended time to hopefully get our toe plates that will probably NOT match our vanities. We feel we were taken for money that could have been spent elsewhere.

What I liked the most about them was that they were easy going and did a very good job. They have a bunch of good subcontractors too. Sometimes it was hard to get in touch with them, or they wouldn't call back. Their prices are a bit expensive.

I had to act as the General Contractor. Modern did not follow up with me when I made calls to them, ordered incorrect fixtures, and sprang an additional $2500 on me after construction had begun. Construction is now in week 8 and is still not finished.

JANET BRINKERHOFF WAS A JOY TO WORK WITH. SHE LISTENED TO US AND EXPLAINED OUR OPTIONS. BASED ON OUR DISCUSSIONS, SHE DESIGNED A NEW KITCHEN FOR US UTILIZING ALL THE AVAILABLE SPACE. THE CONTRACTORS DID A WONDERFUL JOB, THEY LEFT THE AREA NEATER THAN WHEN THEY CAME AT THE END OF THE DAY. THEY EVEN INSTALLED NEW LIGHT FIXTURES AND A CEILING FAN FOR US WHILE THEY WERE THERE! THE FINISHED PRODUCT WAS BEYOND OUR EXPECTATIONS. HAVING HEARD SO MANY HORROR STORIES FROM OUR FRIENDS WHO HAVE HAD KITCHEN REMODELS, WE WERE PREPARED FOR THE WORST. WE EXPERIENCED VERY LITTLE INCONVENIENCE AND THE WORK WAS COMPLETED ON SCHEDULE. WE HAVE BEEN VERY HAPPY WITH OUR NEW KITCHEN.

WE SOUGHT OUT THIS FAMILY RUN BUSINESS FOR OVER 50 YEARS IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD. OUR SERVICE FROM PAUL WAS ALWAYS COURTEOUS AND WE WERE NOT PRESSURED TO BUY THE HIGHEST END PRODUCTS. WE WERE PLEASED WITH THE NUMBER OF OPTIONS FOR EACH ITEM AND WERE ABLE TO FIND A KITCHEN SINK TO ACCOMMODATE THE SMALL, 1950S CABINETS IN OUR KITCHEN. THE PRODUCTS ARE ALL ORDERED FROM DISTRIBUTORS AND WE RECEIVED THE COMPLETE ORDER WITHIN A MONTH AS PREDICTED. HOWEVER THE HOLE FOR THE KITCHEN SINK WAS NOT CUT IN THE RIGHT PLACE, NOR TO THE CORRECT SIZE ACCORDING TO MEASUREMENTS WE SUBMITTED. THEREFORE WE HAD TO WAIT AN ADDITIONAL MONTH FOR A NEW COUNTERTOP WHICH AGAIN DID NOT HAVE THE CORRECT DIMENSIONS FOR THE SINK CUT-OUT. WE WERE ALSO NOT GIVEN A PRECISE TIME FOR DELIVERIES (BETWEEN 9AM AND 2PM) FOR EACH OF THESE PICK-UP AND RE DELIVERIES WHICH WAS VERY FRUSTRATING.
