It went well. Water heater has been installed and is working top notch for past month.

Mark was unfailingly pleasant and professional. The 24,000 BTU units are humongous, so the job took three full hours, for which he charged $135, which seems more than fair. We had to postpone the job a couple of times because of unexpected changes in my husband's work schedule that prevented him from being home, and Mark was courteous and understanding. It was easy to contact him via his office number and his cell phone number; he always responded to messages within a few hours. He did a careful and clean installation--he even cleaned all the old spiderwebs off the inside of the window when it was open for the work. It's difficult these days to find someone who works on window units, so we are especially glad to find Mark. We are also glad to learn that he works on heating units, and we're going to hire him to service our furnace.

Our ac unit was on it's last leg. It was over 20 years old so we interviewed four different ac companies and Mark was the only one who didn't charge us to access the situation. He was also the only one who actually went into our attic crawl space and did a thorough exam. Two of the contractors said the cost would be $7,500-$10,000 - without even looking at it. These other companies do a ton of advertising so they must have to make their money back someway. Mark is very knoweledgeable and gave us the best price at $5,000 - and installed it one week later. The other companies said that they would charge us more b/c our unit would require going into a crawl space. They also said July was too busy for them. The installation took a total of two days. While he was here, he also fixed our cabinet door and front screen door latch - free of charge. He showed us how to clean the screen/vent - the other companies just said "you'll need to clean the vent" assuming that we knew how. He is super handy! So friendly. I actually called him just to say thanks. It's not often that you call a contractor and say thanks. We recommend him to everyone! He's the best.
