These people are well worth dealing with.
I have been in the contracting business since 1975 and have learned to always get competitive estimates.
I was quoted the repairs from the dealer where I purchased my Ram pick up.
I was quoted the tires from two tire dealers.
When I reviewed the warranty/guarantee and what was included in the installation (i.e. disposal, rotation, parts replacement, etc) it made the decision easy to use their services.
I also asked for the front brakes to be replaced, and they called and explained that I still had about 40% left on the pads, When I picked up my truck the owner further explained that he could not fairly charge me to do the work that was not needed.
As consumers we should always do the homework before making a buying decision.
They treated me with respect and I appreciate how they conduct their business.

I have researched your concern and have found that indeed I have a price concern on our synthetic oil changes. While there are many choices in motor oil, we use only Valvoline top line. Our philosophy has always been if our technicians wouldn't use it in their own vehicles. we won't install it in our guests vehicles. That being said, the our cost on Valvoline full synthetic has crept up and has put our oil change price at the top end of the scale before any discounts or specials. I had a problem on my trailblazer with the A/C and it was hard to diagnose. They told me it could be around $1,000.00 depending on what they find. So I was prepared for that cost. After they worked on it, they called me with good news and it ended up costing only $325.00. How many times does that happen - not many.
They keep all information in the computer so they can refer back to all repairs and what is needed next. I am so thankful for Meyer's and have complete faith in them. They really do care about their customers. If you think they are a little more expensive your might be right but the care you get is worth every penny as you are still driving your vehicle with all those miles because you had the best mechanic (doctor) working on your vehicle.

Most places don't charge to read the check engine codes, but this place charged me $130 (as much as I would have spent buying a computer) to tell me what I already knew about the codes. Plus another $230 to verify what the computer said. The service writer was all over the map about costs, he was up front about the $130 intial charge; but then said verifying the codes would bring the total to $230. I thought this meant the total would be $230 for diagnostics, but he meant the total would be $360. Boy did I feel stupid when that slipped by me.
Then came the repairs. This took an additional day to complete, and the replacement parts were considerably more costly than if I had purchased them retail from the Dealer, which really surprised me. Not to mention I could have bought them directly from the dealer at wholesale for nearly half what they charged me. I brought this to their attention and maybe they called a dealer to double check my story and lowered their prices slightly.
I picked up the car today after the repair was completed. When I asked for the old parts they only provided one of them, and said they kept the MAF for a core. This also confused me because only USED MAF sensors carried a core charge at any of the stores I checked. The service writer was quick to tell me they do not keep parts if the customer does not ask BEFORE the service, so of course once again I felt pretty stupid for not anticipating all the confusion I'd encouter at this place.
And lastly, their website advertises a mystery gift program if you are a customer, yet nothing was ever mentioned about it during the checkout process. Originally I thought I would bring my wife's car for service and collect our "gift;" but there is no need for that now. I doubt I will be back since they weren't any cheaper than the dealer yet equally as complicated.
