Mike the owner installed a new bar top. At first inspection it looked great, come to find out the finish/stain "Failed". We noticed several bubbles forming on top of the bar, the finish started to peel off after the first day of installation and as well as the finish being incredibly soft, by this I mean if you were to sign a credit card receipt your name would be transferred to the finish of the bar top. Mike explained that the finish failed and it was the company's fault, that he used to stain the bar and that he would correct it and "make us happy". Mike then explained that that he would not be able to take the bar back out in one piece, the same way he brought it in. Now he was telling me that the bar top would be in 4 pieces instead of 2 or he wanted to stain the bar in house and that the business would have to close for 3-4 days because of the smell of the stain/finish. I explained to Mike that in our contact I paid extra to have the staining done off site and I paid extra for a varnish finish instead of a stain which Mike recommended would be stronger. After several weeks of telling me that he would make this right, he now no longer returns my phone calls and I am stuck with a bar that looks horrible and is not up to the quality that I paid for. Mike also informed me that he did not pay the company that stained the bar, so not only is he not fixing my bar but he also is profiting from not paying the company that he hired. BUYER BEWARE. VERY DISHONEST. Now my only option left is to sue him. Thanks for "making sure I was happy" Mike. I was gonna post this on 3/10/2015 but I received an email from Mike stating that he would repay me for the staining/finish part of the job. Although this is not what I wanted, I told him that I would take the money and have someone else finish the bar top and pay extra to do so. I was not going to post this review if he would have come through on yet another promise, but I have tried to contact him 3 more times and have gotten no response from him. It's been 10 days so far. If you read this and you use this company you have no one to blame but yourself. Hope this helps. Very frustrated customer.
