Ludwig's Rubber Roof Recover

Although Ludwig Roofing came promptly and did the reroofing job I wanted, follow-through has been terrible. The job itself seems to be fine; I have had no leakage from my flat roof since they did the resurfacing, even during our wet spring. But a month or so later, my neighbor told me he had been on his roof, and noticed that there was a wooden pallet and plastic wrappers on my roof. In other words, Ludwig did not clean up. I am not going up on ladders anymore, so I have no way of verifying this, but that does explain the plastic sheeting we found in our yard a couple of times. I tried to contact Ludwig 4 times over the course of 2 months, by text and by email, and got no response. I called them today, and the call went to a full voicemail box. So, it is too bad, because the job was fine, but I would not recommend them, due to lack of follow-up and responsiveness. On the other hand, there is a good chance they are out of business, anyway. So much for my warranty.

James came to put a new roof on our flat roof. He gave us a 6yr work warranty and 40yrs for the roof. We got our wall fixed thinking problem was solved. It started leaking again so wall got ruined. James came by to fix it and said he would fix the wall for us. He did not so we got someone else to fix it.. and then found out there is still a small leak. Not only that, we noticed that my baby ceiling had water spots all over. We asked for him to fix both those issues and speaking with his dad, he said James should fix the water spots and the wall as well. He came and said the baby ceiling leak should be resolved and left without fixing the spots or wall. He said he would come over another day, but never did and now he is not responding to any of my texts. How could a new ceiling cause so many issues? That is not professional at all. Do not hire them.

James came out the same day we spoke over the phone and had quotes for several options of service. After agreeing on a course of action, I had materials on my roof the following business day. Rain/wet weather delayed work on the roof but James always kept me informed and let me know when to expect his crew. This communication is so important, especially when money has already been invested in the project. The complete roof recover looks great and now I don’t have to worry about leaks when it rains.

I hired Ludwig Rubber Roof Recover to repair a roof leak on my home. They immediately came out and assessed the repair. They told me there would be an excessive surcharge if I used a credit card and indicated cash was preferred. I hired them to repair my roof for $700 and we agreed that they would come to out on 4/23/21. It should noted, the $700 was paid in cash. The roofer was very polite and finished the job as agreed. He even showed me pictures of the repairs. However, when I asked for a receipt, he stated he didnâ t bring any receipts with him and he would email it to me. At the time of this review, I have not received a receipt for the work performed or the transaction. I hired Ludwig because â Jamesâ told me if the repair didnâ t hold, he would apply a portion of the repair job towards a new roof. Now, if I decided to use them for a new roof, I donâ t have any proof to take advantage of this offer. To their credit, my roof is not leaking but I am a little disappointed with their business practices. I have reported this experience to Angieâ s List. I joined Angieâ s List with the hope of connecting with legit, ethical contractors. I would look elsewhere for roof repairs.

After the last rain shower I think the leaks we had seemed to be resolved after Ludwigs repairs. I will monitor the situation.

Ludwig was able to get out quickly to repair a leak in our flat roof - service was timely and affordable, and communication was great. Provided pictures of issue and clearly advised on best method for repair before proceeding with work. Would definitely hire these guys again!

Needed exposed cracks resealed on flat roof in front area. Ludwig charged $600 compared to the $3xx quotes received from Home Advisors. Asked for before and after pictures. I accepted the price for the job however more of the front edge area could have been covered for the price charged.

James quoted me a reasonable price after explaining everything he was going to do and why, was quick to answer texts and calls, and provided pictures documenting his work when he was done. Very courteous and professional. Would recommend to anyone needing repairs or maintenance and plan on using him again in the future!

Jim and his son were first rate. They were able to come out on short notice to fix a leaking roof. Communication was excellent. Would definitely hire again!

I had a leaking skylight that a prior roofer was unable to repair. Jim described in detail the issues causing the leak and how he would fix it. It poured down rain for two days shortly after the repair. There is no leaking. Jim also called the day after the first rain to make sure he fixed the leak. I was also billed the amount quoted. Excellent work and service.

jim and Vanessa assessed the problems, completed immediate repairs and will return to apply the permanent covering. Total professionals and I look forward to a carefree roof.

Explained the issue very thoroughly and timely. Also went and inspected other deficiencies in the roof and fixed some of them as well. Very satisfied and would recommend as well use for future roofing needs.
