I stopped by Lelu after checking out two other places. An older gentleman was at the desk, but as I asked questions a younger man stepped out from the back to assist me. I found him to be very helpful and informative. He came out to the house, bringing several samples that I had requested and he also measured the fireplace opening. The price was actually lower for comparable doors than the two other places I checked. The doors were ordered and arrived within the predicted time frame. The younger gentleman then came to the house and installed them as scheduled. I was very pleased with the work, professionalism, and personal service.

The custom mailbox we had was falling apart and we took pictures of it to LeLu to see if they could copy it. Turns out the original had been made there 30 years ago. We ordered the mailbox and were told how long it would be. When that amount of time passed plus some and we hadn't heard anything we called them. They said they were waiting for the address plate. When the mailbox finally came in the installer delivered it and there was a mistake. The installer handled it professionally and offered to take it back and fix it. He did and came back the next day with everything correct. The installation was done quickly. In all, the mailbox is just what we wanted. But if you shop there you must be prepared to feel kind of unwelcome. One of the guys that works there is pretty darn unfriendly. But if you need this kind of work locally, you just have to roll with it. Guess he knows that.

We went to LeLu with a custom design and requested a quote. They were prompted in giving us a quote based on pictures and drawing we gave them. The quote was way more than we wanted to pay. Several weeks passed before we got back to them with a new design and drawing. They gave us a new quote which we accepted and gave them a partial payment. We got an estimate of completion date. They worked with us on our schedule based on vacations we had planned and work we needed to do to remove the old banister and handrail. When we had completed our work they delivered and installed the new banister and rail within 2 days. It took them only about 1 hour to do all of their work. The finished product was everything we hoped it would be.

I TELEPHONED LELU TO INQUIRE ABOUT GETTING A PIECE OF METAL PATIO FURNITURE REFINISHED. AT THE OUTSET, I ADMITTED THAT I DIDN'T KNOW IF THIS WAS THE CORRECT CONTACT POINT FOR THIS KIND OF WORK. THE MAN WITH WHOM I SPOKE WAS NOT THE FRIENDLIEST PERSON. HE SEEMED A BIT DISMISSIVE, BUT GAVE ME THE NAME OF ANOTHER COMPANY WHO MIGHT HELP ME. I DON'T THINK I'D CALL THIS COMPANY FOR INFORMATION OR WORK BASED UPON THIS FIRST IMPRESSION.
