Everything went very well from start to finish. Brant arrived on time to look at the floor to be refinished and sent us a quote promptly. He paid attention to the fact that we have a large dog and took that into consideration when choosing which type of polyurethane to use. The refinishers arrived on time, were very patient in helping us pick the color of stain, and were careful to keep the rest of the house as dust free as possible (sanding wood floors is always a messy job). They even explained how we can prevent having to do a complete refinish by explaining how to properly care for the floor. I will definitely use them again.

We were very dissatisfied. They left the freezer unplugged and I had to throw away all the food inside. The finish on the floor was not the same color. They did not do all the things that they said they would. I was very frustrated and I didn't even complain because I was so frustrated.

Grrrr. Communication was TERRIBLE. Had to practically BEG Todd the installation manager to call us back. In fact, we had to threaten to back out of our contract in order to get an install date. We were told by the estimator that we'd have to tear out our old wood flooring before installing new. Installers disagreed. Ultimately saved us money, not sure we got a 'correct' answer on this one. Then, installers did not 'rack the floor': lay out the wood to make sure the colors are varied and to cull strange, miscolored pieces. Even after we brought the problem to the installers' attention they went ahead and we have weird colored boards in very visible places--even though there were many closets and out of the way places where these could be put AND we ended up with nearly three full boxes of leftover wood. Wood that, by the way, Lawson did not offer to repurchase from us even though boxes were unopened. Also, had to beg them to finish the quarter round. Three weeks after floors were done, a very nice young man showed up and knocked them out in an hour or two.

This was the third time they've done work for us. Each time I have dealt with Nick in sales and he is so accomodating. They do a great job and are also very good about clean-up. I highly recommend this company for refinishes and new installation.
