Unlike other contractors, Kolar separated work in terms of what needed to be done right away versus repairs that could be done later. The most critical repair was to a non-functioning chimney located at the rear of a 100 year old two story building. Other companies priced tuck pointing the 4 ft chimney, but Kolar suggested taking it down to 2 feet as it was no longer used (and not visible from the front/side of the property). This provided a more cost effective solution. Kolar also outlined another needed repair that we should complete in the near future. Kolar also does other types of remodeling/repair work on historic homes, but we were only in need of masonry repairs at this time.
