The glass product on first install was poor quality, but company has ordered different glass from a different manufacturer and will redo installation

Kirkwood Glass was professional, courteous, and prices were reasonable. The "measurer" arrived on time, and I was given a proposal in writing the same day. Communication was excellent; my questions were answered asap. Installation was right on schedule, went smoothly. I was pleased with their work.

We called them, there was someone who answered the phone, and gave us an estimate over the phone after we told them the size of the pane that needed replacing. The estimate was lower than another glass company I called. A third company( Window Restoration) failed to call us back after twice I left messages. Then they came within the next few days to come and make an accurate measurement and final estimate which was $3 less than the phone estimate. We went ahead and asked them to replace the glass. It took from Oct 29, the day we accepted the estimate, to Nov 10 to get the pane installed. Apparently it takes 10 business days for tempered glass to be manufactured. It cannot be cut to size, they have to make the panes individually from scratch. The installation took about 10 minutes. They called 10 minutes before showing up which was very good. The workman removed the broken glass and took the pieces with him (although he missed one large piece which had fallen on the other side of the door). I was very happy with the results, the fact I was able to get someone on the phone the first time I called them, an estimate that was closely matched by the final cost, and prompt service.  This is also the company who told us it would cost us much less for labor if we could bring in the door ourselves. It was nice to be told about this option even if we couldn't take them up on it.

It was a very good interaction.  He was professional and kind.  They came out to my location and installed the glass.  It was a reasonable cost.   

However, they had ordered the wrong glass so it was delayed.  They were supposed to install it last Friday and it was only today that they installed it because they waited for the right window.

Kirkwood Glass is a very reliable and extremely professional company. I have used this company to repair windshields in my last three vehicles. They have also made a custom cut of glass for my dining room table that was completed with perfection.

They did a nice job.

Found office staff rude and unhelpful when I called and visited the store. In fact, one woman in particular was so rude that I was this/close to canceling my order.

We have used this company before.  they came in, gave estimates, and within a couple of weeks had our glass and installed it.  Easy and done.  No messing around.  Appropriate pricing versus others and quick, efficiently and friendly.  As I noted, have used them before and will continue to use.  Found good company and one less bother when questioning who to call.

Kirkwood Glass was recommended to me by Home Depot.  Kirkwood Glass sent a person out to measure the glass then they had to order the double pain, sealed units for the two windows. When the glass came in they came to our home and in less than 1/2 hour removed the broken glass, cleaned out the windows and installed the new sealed glass.  They were prompt, professional and obviously knew what they were doing.  I'd recommend them to anyone.  I don't know if their pricing was reasonable or high because the Home Depot and Loewe's people could not give me a quote because they do not handle glass replacement.

I had a monday appointmetn for them to come and measure the glass and give an estimate only.  They called to confirm the appointmetn saturdya, but also stated they had an opending now if I wanted it.  The technician was at my house withi 30 minutes and also brought the glass he thought would fit my door.  He was right with the size and was able to replace it right then.  Very nice and a big time saver.

In 2011, the windshield on our Ford Flex was broken during a hail storm.  We had the windshield replaced at Kirkwood Glass and all was well for almost a year.  A crack suddenly appeared in the upper right hand corner of the windshield.  We called one of the crack repair companies that fill small windshield holes or cracks with resin.  The technician came and looked at the damage and said that he couldn't repair the crack because it was cracked from the inside not from the outside.  He pointed out that there was a bubble in glass and said that the glass was defective and that was why there was a crack--it had not occurred from damage or from rock striking the windshiield.  We called Kirkwood Glass and they told us to bring in the car to be evaluated.  Their technician examined the windshield and verified that there was a bubble in the glass.  The windshield was replaced and we were under the impression that Kirkwood Glass was handling the replacement cost.  However, withour our authorization, they submitted a claim to our insurance company and then billed us for the deductible.  My husband and I both tried to contact the manager who never returned our calls.
