I think it's around $28 a day, and I think I only had two days, and then if they do day camp the third day, that's all you pay for. You don't pay for an extra day. You just do the camp, and I think it was around $80. He's always content when he comes home. Their price is fair.

They camp out all the time. In general, he goes on his own a lot. I board him there too.

I let him go to day camp, which is normally $45 on its own. So he plays till about 1:00, then they do the grooming, so I pick him up at the end of the day. I'd say A for everything. They're very dependable. I've got a big dog and he needs all the exercise he can get thrown at him.

I would use them again. Sometimes when you call in and check on your pet it takes them a long time to get an answer for you.

He goes often. He attends day camp there. From time to time, he's boarded there when we have to leave town. We also use them for grooming.

He loves it there. They have what they call cabanas. They have 3 different levels of service. He's just a small dog so we use a cabana. It's just a walled off area with a bed and it actually has a tv. And a kind of mat so they can have a place to lay and it's air conditioned. It's very nice.

When you leave your pet, you do not really know what goes on or the rate could have been higher or lower.

They burnt the skin of our dog with the chemicals. They could have paid the vet bill for their mistake. They did not really respond. They did not follow-up.

When I picked her up she seemed tired but happy . When I got her home she would not eat r drink she slept and whined the whole night. I took her on a Friday and by Sunday she was worse. Could barley walk and make it outside was very spaced out. I hurried and took her to emergancy clinic. Come to find out she had a puncture bite on her back leg into the muscle that was infected. She was running a fever. The had to give her a couple shots shave the area and give me med to take home. I called the next day they where very nice but dont know what happened. This bothers me large dogs mixed with puppies. I dont know if I should take her back it seems someone should know if not the groomer who bathed her because you could not touch her leg at all because of the pain and swelling. I worried she will be very weary other dogs and it will happen again. I was going to have her start training there also but now I might take her elsewhere. It was handled in a very professinal manner the mgr was very nice.

I had a family emergency and needed to leave town. Kennelwood was able to take in my dog, worked with me to get his records faxed from the vet, and took great care of my dog. Always enjoy taking my dog there!

We have been boarding our dog with Kennelwood on and off over the last several years.  They have a variety of lodging options in a variety of price ranges.  The staff is friendly, professional, easy to communicate with, and upfront about choices and charges. The facility is clean and our dog always appears to be well-cared for. They offer after-hours pick-up as well.

I use Kennelwood Pet Resorts for dog grooming services about every two months.  They get baths and their nails done.  They have coupons on a regular basis.  I have checked other providers and versus for what I could do myself I feel the price is fair.  Access is good for appointments, I am able to get in when I need to.

Very satisfied with the service and plan to use regularly when I have to go out of town.  My decision to continue using the service is based on the overall cleaniness of the facility, the location of the cat boarding area, and the price.  Another major component of my decision is my cat is gets upset when taken out of his home and routine but each time I've used the facility he has not appeared to be traumatized or disturbed for having stayed at the facility and I interpret that as the facility keeps the trauma for the cats at minimum.

This was the most expensive grooming my dog had ever had and one of the most disappointing.  At check in I was bombarded with additional services that I was made to feel were necessary:  a perimeter cut, potty trail and teeth cleaning.  I'm glad I had her teeth cleaned and her wash and conditioning were great.  However, she waited seven hours to be groomed which is much longer than ever before.  I have never met the groomer who has done the work every month.

We were very nervous about leaving her because she relies on tactile feedback and didn't want her to be alone in a room. I carry her around with me or she lays on my lap when I'm at home. The staff was wonderful!! Kelley carried her around with her and personally made sure she was comfortable, that she ate, and took her medicine. She had a wonderful and safe yard to wander around in and seemed very happy. Kelley would email me every evening telling me about her day and many times included a photo of Allie. We felt like Kelley was family! We were able to relax on our trip and were confident that Allie was getting the best care possible. At first we thought it was a bit expensive but after being away for several days we knew it was well worth every cent. You can't buy peace of mind! We will be traveling again and will definitely use this Kennelwood! We can not say enough good things about the staff at this particular Kennelwood, especially Kelley Rutherford.

I've used Kennelwood off and on for years. I just hate leaving the dog (and now, dogs) at any kennel, but Kennelwood seemed like probably the best alternative in my area...at least based on reputation. Never again. I always thought the dog smelled particularly bad when I picked him up from there. And I've been concerned about the accomodations, so this last time, I paid for a significant upgrade to the "suites". Due to timing, I picked up the dogs after normal hours (which is allowed...but of course, at additional expense). It was a good thing that I did this because the night attendant had me go with him to the suites building to get the dogs. When he finally located them, we found them in a windless "cell" wiith absolutely no view to anything beyond their walls and solid door...rather than in the suite I'd arranged for with at least a picture-window to see out and get a sense of the time of day. Of course, there was a TV on in the cell...but how ridiculous is that? What does a dog need with a television? All I could think was, "did they have this visual and contact deprivation with the incessant clamoring of television commercials for their entire stay? I felt horrible for them. They looked a little shell shocked. All of my subsequent trips have included arrangements with a local pet-sitting service that comes to my home during the day and stays the night there.
Response from Kennelwood Pet Resorts
"I would like to thank you for choosing Kennelwood Pet Resorts. I am very sorry that you were disappointed with your pet’s stay with us. Kennelwood’s credo is trust, commitment, and loving care and we strive to provide just that to each and every pet that visits us. I am unhappy that your pets were not in the room type that you expected. That in no way meets our standards. Just as you did, we encourage all pet parents to take a tour of our facilities and choose the room type that best fits their pet. Upon check-in we are more than happy to show the exact room where the pet will be staying. We would be grateful for another opportunity to demonstrate trust, commitment, and loving care. Kennelwood’s Chief Operating Officer will be sending you a gift certificate. The gift certificate may be used for any of Kennelwood’s services. If you have any questions or would like to have any other concerns addressed, please feel free to contact Kennelwood’s Chief Operating Officer directly. Barbara Haynes: (314)446-1036 [email protected] Thank you for taking the time to comment on your experience. Sincerely, Jennifer Lupia Marketing Coordinator (314)446-1051 [email protected]"

I think that the whole experience was good for my dogs. I like that they keep a journal of all of the activities. They offer a variety of services. I've even used the training classes.

The dogs received their baths at the end of a boarding stay. All three had clean, soft coats and nicely filed nails from their visit. The groomer also provides a report card which lets the owner know how the dogs did during their grooming visit, along with anything of note the groomer noticed. All three dogs did well. I have allergies, and I appreciate that they use products that are as unscented as possible on my dogs, per my request.
