Jeremy does beautiful work and I couldn't be happier with my floors. He takes the time to explain the process thoroughly and helped me to weigh the options of refinishing vs. new floors.The floors are white oak, 60 + years old and they look great. The major black pet stains in several areas all came out with careful sanding. I'm very happy with my decision to refinish.
Jeremy is very fair and competitive is his pricing. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an honest and professional craftsman.

He was extremely knowledgeable. He gave us a lot of information and option on what we could do. He was personable and I liked him a lot.

There could be no better outcome. The job was absolutely perfect and beautiful. When Jeremy quoted the job, he took about an hour explaining the various finish options and their pros and cons. I could tell he was a perfectionist and really enjoyed his work. He explained what the job would entail and how long it would take and that is what came to be. He cut in four flush hardwood air registers. The joints were tight and perfect. Jeremy is an absolute craftsman. A better job could not be had by any of the larger floor companies. His price was very reasonable. He has low overhead. An absolute professional.

Jeremy and his crew were very knowledgeable and provided excellent service. I would highly recommend his company for historic home preservation as he has a keen awareness and appreciation for the art and technique needed to restore the beauty of century homes. And did I mention how polite, responsive, and punctual he was. A true professional who loves his work.

We interviewed three installers but chose Jeremy because of his good reviews on AL, his low price (we were selling the house), and the ability to install to our schedule. We live in a Victorian house and he came by early to inspect the existing floor. He helped me come up with a way to shore up the old pine floor by an old fireplace. We purchased 600 sq ft of reclaimed oak floor from an old tobacco barn in Kentucky, and had it delivered to my work, where I had friends help deliver it to our living room.
Jeremy showed up later than he said he would, but he was running late on another job he was trying to finish. He and his partner Will started laying out the boards and finished the next day. On Wed they had the floor installed - what a difference! We chose a stain Thur morning and they sanded and stained the floor. On Friday they put down the first coat of urethane - and we slept in a hotel! They came back on Monday and finished the job - including the staining and installing oak quarter round.
Jeremy is a wonderful person to work with. He is humble but hard working. There is no 5 page contract with him - just his price on the back of a business card. Choose him and you won't go wrong.

He was great. He did an excellent job. He charged a fair price. The results were spectacular. I had it refinished two years earlier by somebody that did a crappy job. He came and redid it and did a great job. He was very professional and got all the way in the corners. He did every square inch of the floor perfectly. He was punctual and everything was great. I had to reschedule and he was very flexible with that. Everything was perfect. I would absolutely use him again.

Work wnet very well. Jerome has to work jobs simultaneously due to drying times. Still he promised to finish work in four days, and he did. Work site was left broom clean every day with a minimum of dusting of adjacent rooms. Once sanded Jermome applied various stain mixtures to get the finished result we were looking for. Final product met expectations.
I'm not going to comment on the others who quoted except to say they were considerably more expensive. Two contractors complained about the engineered wood floor, one refused to quote, the other also complained and submitted a seven page legal document excusing himself from any and all problems that may occur. CYA does not inspire confidence and bids were high anyway.
Jeromy also expressed concerns with taking on the engineered wood, but handled the job without defects.
Jeromy and his partner Wil know what they're doing and executed the job flawlessly. Because they don't have the marketing, and administrative expenses of their competitors, they are able to deliver a good job at a good price.
I recommend them highly.

Jeremy and his crew did a terrific job of sanding and refinishing our kitchen floor. The floor was originally a lighter color than the rest of the floors on our first floor. We decided to try and match the other floors and Jeremy matched them perfectly! We were thrilled.
We would use his company again and will recommend him to our friends!

I took bids from three companies for this job. Jeremy's bid was very competitive and he was willing to explain exactly what he would do and how it would be done. He answered all my questions and was very direct. I liked his old fashioned approach; he offered no formal bid and did not ask me to sign anything. He is the sort of person who gives his word and keeps it and assumes others will do the same. He showed up promptly on the scheduled date (which was at least 2 1/2 months after the initial interview) and gave us several options concerning the stains. He sanded quite a few of them to show us how much they could be corrected and also gave us choice of stain colors. We felt we trusted his judgment and left the house for the 3 days of the job, knowing that he would do exactly what he had promised. We came home today to see our beautiful floors perfectly refinished. We are very delighted with the floors and would recommend Jeremy to anyone needing floor refinishing.

He and his co-worker are hard, tireless workers and if I can handle the dust I'll have him come back in two months and refinish another area of my home. It was a pleasure to have him in my home and it helped that he was a dog lover.

Jeremy did an excellent job for a very reasonable price. The floors had to be sanded smooth, stained, and then 2 coats of polyurethane applied. It looks great and I have to say that I was surprised at how little dust there was. In the rooms that he worked in there was of course some dust on the window seals and such, but it was really very little and easily cleaned up. He sealed off the rest of the house and in the other rooms the dust was really not detectable at all. The whole floor turned out very nice, he sanded completely to the edges of the baseboard without nicking them, he showed up exactly when he said he was going to, and he did everything exactly as he said he was going to and overall it turned out great. I would definitely recommend him to a friend.

He matched the finish of the hardwood flooring, with the floor in rest of the house. He was very patient and explained everything in detail. He put in 3 coates, which was the very good. He also gave some suggestions to protect the floors. He advised how to clean the floor and what products to use. I was extremely happy and will use hi services in future.

You cannot get any better than Jeremy. I used him at my old house, and when I moved and needed some closet floors refinished I looked him up again. When I move again, I'll use him again.

The quality of work was very good. We had no complaints about anything and everything was great. We would use them again.

I got several estimates mainly from all the top ranking refinishing co. from Angie's list. Some told me that I needed the floor replaced because the nail heads were showing, some told me that they had to replace several boards etc. Jeremy came and gave me an estimate on the spot. He blew everyone else out of the water. I usually don't go with lowest estimate but my husband really liked him. He said Jeremy is such a 'purist' he was confident that we would have good results with him. We scheduled the job for month later and JL showed up on time everyday finished promptly when he said he would and we ended up with an amazing looking floor for a fraction of a cost of replacement. The most interesting thing is that he somehow managed to make majority of squeaks go away as well, though he said he couldn't fix that prior to the start of the job. We have gotten a lot of work done and dealt with lot of contractors. I wish all of them were a good as Mr. Lauck.

We recently bought a house with original hardwoods in half the house (600-700 sq ft, can't remember exactly) which had been painted white. Jeremy laid hardwood in the rest of the house (400-500 sq ft) to match the original, then sanded and stained everything together. It looks amazing. Jeremy was prompt in coming to give us an estimate, and then finished the job in less than a week. He was extremely reliable and professional. No one, including us, can tell where the old floors end and the new floors begin. We chose a dark stain, and it looks great. If we did it again, we might have had him "pop the grain" which would have made them a little darker, but we're really happy with it. The price was really reasonable because we now have 1300 sq ft of hardwood. We can't recommend Jeremy highly enough, he does an amazing job. I'm only sorry that it took us two months to write this review!

Excellent work and very professional.

Jeremy is definitely a diamond in the rough. He showed up to give me an estimate when he promised and was very thorough in describing what he would do. His pricing was very competitive and he showed up the day he promised to do the work. He completed the work within 4 days (as he has promised) and left my house as clean as could be expected.

Jeremy as his helper arrived at 8:30. They brought in their tools and supplies, hung plastic to keep sawdust out of other rooms. They impressed me with their teamwork through out the project. By 1:30 PM they were done. They swept the floor, removed the trash and left a very happy homeowner.

Jeremey is a true professional who is also very personable. He came and gave me a price and we set up a date. He arrived on time and completed the work in less than the estimated time. He was very careful and there was much less dust than I expected. It was a great experience and I would recommend Lauck to any and all who need to have floors refinished. The floors look beautiful and I'm very satisfied and happy with the result.

Jeremy gave me an estimate promptly on a Tuesday and was able to schedule the work to begin Friday of that week. He thoroughly explained the process and was agreeable to my wish to leave the wood unstained. He and his co-worker were courteous, professional, very tidy and did an outstanding job.

The experience was very good. I hardly noticed any dust from him sanding the floors. He cleaned up after himself. There was really no trace of him after he finished up and left. We are having him come back to do another area of our home.
