I have been using them for about twenty years and what keeps me going back is convenience. It is not too far from my house and they have very convenient hours. They have evening and daytime hours. They are kind of high in pricing. They change veterinarians quite often, which is the only thing. Other than that, I think it is good care for the dogs.

We have used the services of Jefferson Animal Hospital for decades. When the practice changed hands several years ago, we didn't know what to expect of the new owner, Dr. Brianne Schneider. Shortly thereafter, our dog became seriously ill with an auto-immune disease. The diagnostic process was very complicated. Dr. Schneider tirelessly researched the issue, consulting with specialists until she devised an effective drug protocol. Our dog now has to see the vet at least every three months for assessment and maintenance. During those visits, Dr. Schneider takes all the time necessary to examine him and answer any questions we have; no matter how packed the waiting room is, we never feel we're being rushed through the consultation. We trust and appreciate Dr. Schneider very much.and would highly recommend her and Jefferson Animal Hospital to anyone.

Went well, the night vet tech is very good with my wiggly dog and Dr. Schneider is thorough and professional. The prices have risen since she bought the practice but is still within reason for routine visits. Fortunately I do not know what their new charges are for surgery, hospitalization etc.

I just used them recently and I was very happy with their service. They don't charge a fee for the office visit and that is why I used them. It is economical. They charge me depending on what procedure they perform. I would use them again in the future.

I used to get good service from the doctor there. The doctor is not there any more. They let me down very badly so I took my cat elsewhere. My cat had quit eating and drinking. She looked terrible and I took her in. The other doctor told me that she had kidney failure. He gave me the option of either putting her to sleep there or taking her home and letting her die there. I decided to take a second opinion. I decided to take her home and let her die at home; in peace and surrounded by her family. She suffered for 2 days and then she started getting better. This was in August and she is still with us. She had a big, huge growth on her left ear for most of her life. I was told it was benign and I did not have to worry about it. It grew bigger and bigger until it was the size of a bumble bee. On night, she scratched herself too hard and it began to bleed. There was a crying scene in my house. I padded her up thoroughly. I decided to take another doctor’s advice. He called me into the office and made an appointment for me. I took her in and he told me that first of all, she was not dying of kidney failure and secondly, I could take off the padding I had put on the ear. It would not be a problem. She is a 16 year old cat and the last thing they told me at Jefferson Animal Hospital was that she was way too old to be operated upon now. They were not expensive but their advice was not correct. They were very good till the last problem with my cat. Their prices have always been fair. On my last visit, the doctor kept saying that a lot depended on how much I was prepared to spend on her. He said that he would not advice me to spend so much and that there were a lot of tests to be done. It seemed like he was worried about the strain on my pocket book.

Very well. I was the bigger baby than my dog! Dr. Hansbrough did a great job getting rid of the split nail and keeping me calm, too. His fees are so reasonable and his manner with dogs is superb. Also, it's a walk-in clinic so it's easy to see him. Finally, he deliberately keeps costs very low by using paper envelopes instead of plastic bottles for meds, by not over-charging, and by keeping a very basic style office. But don't let looks fool you...he's a terrific vet.

Their hours of operation are very convenient. They are open for 3 blocks of time throughout the day so you can go in the evening, too. The staff and the doctors are good.
