Child Care - Family/In Provider Home
Homewatch has always been professional, compassionate, and helpful. We can't say enough great things about them. They are a good, honest employment agency for caregivers. All their employees have background checks, drug tests, and are covered by workman's comp, etc.
As I mentioned above, we hired our nanny through them, and have been working with them for 2.5 years.
Let me point out that they have also recently started offering the service of payroll and taxes for your own household help. I can say from experience in the past that it takes more than a Ph.D. to figure out how to keep your nanny legal, by the time you file federal, state, and city tax returns, create a Missouri employer account, pay social security, workman's comp, unemployment insurance, and generate a W2. (Then the city makes a clerical error and you spend hours on the phone. Goodness, I'm tired just listing out the things we used to do.) That's why so many honest law-abiding people end up paying their household help under-the-table. To address this need, Homewatch has a new service where they will hire your nanny officially as their own employee and do all of these services above, and the price is very reasonable. Another plus is this includes their payroll system, where they do a "timeclock" by phone, keeping track of your nanny's hours, write them checks, and send you just one monthly invoice.
