Smoothly, finished in one day. Left no mess. I have been a customer of Harster's since 1966, so I think they are the best.

Harster was to come do do yearly maintenance on our air conditioning unit. The tech came in told us that we were 2 lbs low on freon. 20 min later he came and said we need a whole new unit. 2nd guy came out said our air conditioning is fine and that we need a new coil. 3rd guy came out and $1675 later we have a new coil and now our air conditioner is freezing and its 80 degrees in our house. The 4th guy come out he said that it's our furnace that needs to be cleaned so another $114 an hour. Nothing was wrong with our air this was an annual cleaning the first guy did something and they will not take responsibility for it. The 3rd guy told us that they put way to much freon in the unit.

It was a great experience. They dispatched a technician to my house within 10 minutes of my call for service. The technician was courteous and quickly solved the issue with my furnace. Fantastic service

I am very pleased with all aspects of Harster's replacement furnace installation. Harster's representatives answered my questions courteously and in detail, and Harster's bid was very competitive. On installation day Harster's friendly crew removed my old furnace, installed the new furnace (including custom sheet-metal work and brickwork), and cleaned up the site in just over one-half day. In the future I anticipate calling Harster when I need HVAC assistance.

I was charged over $300 for the service. Not overtime, not weekend or holidays. Just outright overcharged. I called in to question the charge ($150 for the call and the rest a charge for a $19 capacitor) and was given no explanation but I was given a $100 refund. Still overcharged. Will not use again.

Very well. A few years ago another company came out to do routine maintenance on my furnaces and told me that one needed to be replaced. Something the technician said made me suspicious, so I called Harster for another opinion. The Harster repair man said that despite the age of the furnace in quesion, I should be able to get a few more years out of it. He was right! I have used Harster ever since for routine maintenance and for replacing one of the air conditioning units last summer. I will definitely continue to call them for such services.

Harster was recommended to me by a colleague, who had three estimates from heating and cooling companies when he needed to replace his HVAC. He told me that Harster was middle of the road for price, but that he felt comfortable with the sales person and that he appreciated the fact that Harster has been around since 1950. We found our experience to be very similar. We got five bids to replace our system (including new filter and humidifier). Although Harster was not the cheapest--although not the most expensive either--we chose Harster because Matt (the sales person) answered all of our questions and was not pushy, and because we knew Harster would stand behind its work. The work was scheduled very promptly. The day of our installation, the workers showed up on time. Before the installation, Matt answered a plethora of questions I had for him. Unfortunately, the installation took two whole days because of the amount of duct work that needed to be done. But Harster was so understanding that the team leader went out of his way to get us space heaters to use overnight. Now that the work is complete, the installation looks fantastic. The duct work is exceptional, and will actually make the system more efficient. Already I can tell a difference between how much air is being forced into the home versus our old system. The workers were pleasant to be around, and I had no qualms with letting them work in our house while my wife and I went to work. Highly recommend this company.

Service was completed quickly and with no problems.

They came back 2 days later and got all work done in one day. Phenomenal customer service, very professional, and they even helped me get my aftermarket Thermostat working!

I'm pretty picky about who I use and I am pleased at what they do. The price was reasonable and they did a good job.

The heat pump was installed correctly. I had no more problems with it. They diagnosed the problem right away and away we went.

Service was prompt, courteous and craftsmanship was excellent.

Service man was at a personal function but left to take care of me. Arrived within about an hour and a half from Illinois. Quickly found out there was a bad capacitor and replaced it. Also cleaned the coils at the same time.

I called early in the week, and they came out a couple of days later. The technician was right on time. We have two heating and cooling systems (one for upstairs and one for downstairs) and he's been here for over two hours cleaning everything (and still going) and explaining what he is doing and why. He even looked at my humidifier system and replaced those filters. I went ahead and got the yearly maintenance package. Maybe a tad bit more expensive than I thought, but for 2 different heating/cooling systems, I won't complain, especially if they are going to pick up the phone when I call, get someone out quickly, the system is going to work, and they do a good job. Seems like a good company.

AS ALWAYS - VERY WELL - NO SURPRISES

Harster was very prompt and professional in all interactions. The service guy that came out was very thorough and explained what services were being performed and why. I had a coupon to use from Angie's list and that was no problem using that. When we had the AC tune up performed there was a slight issue with attic access and the service guy was apologetic but explained exactly what we would need to do to be able to get access for the tune up.
