Called to get estimates for yard work & also roof , gutter cleaning & removal of a large amount of leaves from an area of my yard. Got the estimate which was about $100 higher than another estimate I got so I passed on that job. Keith said they could cut my small yard for $30. There was no discussion about scheduling. Two guys came & cut 3 times. I was never called & they just came without warning. Once they came & cut when I had no grass to cut. Keith told me that would be a "freebie". Besides cutting I wanted aerating, seeding & fertilizing. Keith said they would not do that till October. I never got an estimate. Couldn't wait to seed beyond mid Oct. so I went ahead & did the seeding & feeding myself. I also needed some shrubs trimmed. I tried to talk to the grass cutters about doing that but I don't speak Spanish. One said I would need to call Keith. I wanted to pay for my two grass cuttings & never got the invoice I was supposed to get. I e-mailed Keith & said I would send $60 which I did. I also told them of future major work involving replacing railroad ties but never got an estimate on that. I got the impression that Keith probably would do a good job but evidently had too much work. Very un-professional treatment of a potential customer. I now notice that Hard Work Yard Work is no longer listed where I originally found them.
The workers went to work right away and paid amazing attention to detail. I have a huge number of planting beds which had not received any attention for months and they cleaned and weeded them with great care and precision. They dug out volunteer trees, removed invasive vines and prepped the beds really well for mulching.
I received a detailed, itemized receipt for all of the work. At the end of the job, the owner walked the whole yard with me again, and checked everything that had been done. He found a couple more things he wanted done, and the guys jumped to those immediately. Bottom line, I could not have imagined that they could have accomplished all the work they did in a single day.
I highly recommend Hard Work Yard Work. They were awesome.
"This customer was provided a detailed proposal with thorough explanation of the work to be done, including an itemized breakdown of the projected cost. Every time we performed work at her house we left a Service Summary explaining when we arrived and when we left; what we accomplished; what materials and supplies were utilized, and the names of the workers who did the work. Our bills were sent to this customer via email and regular mail...and each bill itemized the completed work in the same format as the original proposal. We were very frustrated that this customer was unable to keep track of our original proposal, our Service Summaries and our invoices....frequently telling us that she was unable to find "the paperwork". When we sent her duplicates of the "missing paperwork", she would lose track of the duplicates."
