Greg Glandt told us that he would have our new roof put on at the end of the month, which was August. August came and went and when we called him, he said he would come to the house and do the work by the end of the week. He repeatedly told us that he would have it done by the end of the week but never came. We basically begged him to please put the roof on by the time the cold weather came to town because our existing roof was in poor condition and would not survive snow. He assured us that he would have the roof on very shortly and we didn't have to worry about the weather. By the first week of December, he had not done the job he promised to do and it snowed. The snow sitting on the roof caused a large leak and damaged the ceiling in our family room. We called him and said that we knew he would never complete the work and that we were fed up with all of his empty promises. We told him about the damage that came as a result of his never coming to do the job and we demanded that he pay for it. He said that he would pay for it if we let him put the roof on. We told him that he had ample opportunity to have completed the job over the course of the last four months and we didn't want him near our house. He said that he would pay the damages to our ceiling. My husband sent him an official letter that stated his agreement. I recently sent him an email to his company's email stating that if we did not receive a check for the cost of the repair to the damages in one week's time, that I would report him to Angies' List and other consumer protection agencies. I never received a phone call, an email, or a check. This was an absolutely horrible ordeal and I find it stunning that someone could repeatedly gurarantee their work and lie to people so easily and never complete one minute's worth of work. I'm not surprised that he didn't pay the bill he promised to pay but I'm disappointed nevertheless. I hope that not one more person has to deal with him and feel as vulnerable as we did.
