The problems I had began after the service was completed.  I came in with the issue, Gray's ran a diagnostic and determined the mass air flow sensor needed to be replaced.  This service was performed and I picked up the car.  I immediately noticed that I was experiencing the same issue so I returned the car to Gray's.  They determined that a secondary cause of the issue was the spark plugs.  They replaced the spark plugs and assured me that all was well with the vehicle.  Within 1 week of the service, I started experiencing the same problem.  When confronted with the issue, Gray's staff didn't appear concerned about getting the car in quickly because the "car still runs, it just runs rough and misfires, but it's still running." They told me I could leave the car and they would look at it that day if they had a chance but they were busy that day and it would most likely be the next day before they were able to get to it.  My problem with this is that I had already paid them $600 to fix the problem.  They gladly took my money and told me the problem was corrected.  When this turned out to be untrue, they were unwilling to prioritize getting my vehicle in.  I don't feel like it's unreasonable to hold them accountable for poor work and ask that they prioritize doing the job they accepted a lot of money to do.

"[member name removed], I truly apologize for the problem with your vehicle and any inconvenience we may have caused. I remember the vehicle because I diagnosed it my self. The check engine light indicated that your mass air flow was the problem, your vehicle also had a catalytic converter code registered in your vehicle's computer. It's very possible that we got hold of a defective part, which of course we would have corrected at no charge. I know on the day you came back we were extremely busy to the point of not being able to finish the cars that were already promised. If you recall, you DEMANDED that we look at your car immediately because you had just spent $600 I understand your frustration, but you never came back for us to recheck your car. My service manager told you we would be more than happy to take care of it the next day. This is what we do, sir, we make things right.!! You never came back to let us recheck your car, making it IMPOSSIBLE for us to make it right!! For more than 40 years I have strived at customer excellence. I had a tear in my gas line (they think a small animal chewed through it!) and was leaking gas anytime I parked on an incline. My car was towed to their shop. They fixed the line and had me back with my car within a day. Great service. They even protected my wallet when  I left it there on accident.

After I had my oil changed at another garage and was informed by a worker there that I needed a few hundred dollars in repairs we took my car to grays who let us know that work was not necessary. The staff was always courteous and honest. We could always get the car in the same week we called and work was completed quickly.

"I wish I had known about this incident for 2 reasons. First of all, there are probably 40 or 50 different issues that can make the check engine light come on. I would have rechecked the vehicle to see if it had the same issue or some other problem had occured- - - at no charge! In either case, I would have made it right! Secondly, I obviously didn't know of any stealing going on. Reguardless, this service manager was terminated in late August of 2011 for an attitude problem. Fantastic. They do repairs that you ask for. If you think something is wrong they will tell you, and let you know what's important and only do important. They don't do things that are not necessary.

They are my regular auto mechanic. The light kept coming on in my car and it kept losing power. They fixed the problem. I spent around $500, which was expensive. I will use them again in the future.

My mom called me to tell me that her oil light was on and had been on for a few days. I have sent my mom to Gray's twice for different issues with her car and she liked Bruce Gray. They are always busy, but they have helped her each time. If you don't need a job done they will tell you and they don't fix it if it isn't broken. I know this from countless times I have been there in the past with my very old cars. Bruce gave her an appointment and they changed her oil and put her mind and mine to rest. I have had bad experiences with other companies in the past so I did not want to send her there although it would probably have been less expensive. With Grays we got great service and peace of mind.
