I called Gateway Aeration to aerate my yard so I could reseed myself.  They gave me a four day window, which was fine as I didn't need to be home during the service.  They ended up coming on Day 3, and conveniently left a yellow envelope to send payment.  It looked great, and saved me $25 opposed to renting a machine at Home Depot, driving it home, and doing it myself.

Everything went well, and it was a good experience.  The estimate and scheduling processes were simple and quick, they showed on time for the appointment, and they did the work as promised.  Additionally, the person with whom I spoke on the phone was friendly and professional.

They were informative over the phone regarding the process and the window of service they could provide.
They scheduled for two days or the next dry day after. They were fast, quiet, effective - and they remembered to close the gate to keep our pup safe! In only wish we would have used them for de-thatching, fertilizing, and over-seeding, too. The prices are ridiculously good.

The price is excellent and service was performed as expected. I called to schedule an appointment and was given a 3-4 day window when the work would be performed. The company actually didn't make it out during their window but did call to apologize and say they would be there the following day. They performed the work as requested and left an envelope to provide payment by check or credit card.
It was an easy experience and the delay ended up being fine. I appreciated being notified when their schedule was revised, and I would use them again.

The gentleman was used by my son and he recommended him to me. He'll come in whenever he wants to and I didn't have a problem with that because he works outside. I just make sure he has access to the yard so he can come over and get it done. Clients can mail him a check for the service if they're not home. I didn't see him do it but he did a thorough job on my yard and everything was quite convenient. He charges a minimum amount but it's acceptable and pretty cheap compared to what I've seen everywhere else. My yard is 5000 total square feet but he would charge the same amount for a 10,000-square-foot yard.

They don't make an appointment, they just show up and start working until they are done. You just make sure your yard is accessible. They will leave an envelope in your door, if you are not home, to mail in a check or if you want to charge it, there is a number to call for credit card information. Not having used them before, I thought that was being rather trustworthy.

The fellow, by himself, had another job before ours and didn't show up until around 4:00 pm. I said you don't have much time before you will lose light but he thought he could get the power raking done and bagged before dark. He got the raking part done and bagged 34 bags for the yard waste on Tuesday morning. Said he would return in the morning to finish but didn't make it in time for collection, he got here about 9:30 am. He finished bagging 9 more bags, which I had him put under the back deck for the week and proceeded with aeration, seeding and fertilizing, finishing around 11:00 am. We discussed the condition of the yard and he asked for me to be sure to water the yard so the seed would set good and not to cut it for a week. He also suggested power raking it again in the spring of 2014 then it would be good to do every other year after that. He did a good job but I asked him why he was alone on a job this large (1/3 acre), his comment was he has had workers in the past but they either didn't really want to work or weren't able to keep up with him. He prefers to work alone, it goes much easier.
I felt like even if they didn't work as fast or thorough as he did it needed to be at least a 2 person job.

We have used them numerous times. They are very price competitive, they are very responsive. When I call she remembers me. She will always answer all my questions. Getting the sprinkler system turned on and off. She is always to patient. Once you get scheduled they show up on time, they do really good work and they are really competitive.

The person who performed the aeration was very professional and quick. Would use again.

I have about 6,000sq ft of lawn. I have used this company twice. This company actually made initial contact with a door hanger. I normall would not have used a company like this based on this type of marketing.I was new to the nieghborhood and the lawn needed to be aerated and I had not the time to do it. I know how important core aeration is for the lawn but since moving in to my home time is a real issue. The fist year I used them I think they charged about $80 that was in 2010. They did come out in Nov 2012 and I was charged $45. In fairness to them They did 3 or 4 other neighbor on the block so I wa able get a better price. I just wanted it done.even at $80 it was a deal as the rental from the local Big Box was $60 for 4 hours for just the machine and then I would have to rent a truck for $20. And I still would have to do the work. I have done it before and for me it was worth it to let them do it.
I was not home either times when the work was done but evidence that they had come was the little cores on the lawn.
As I said earlier they have been used by other neighbors in the subdivison and I would have no trouble calling and or reccomending there services.

This company offers competitive prices, they always do a great job and I plan to continue to use their service. Their clean-up is through, they are prompt and they are very respectful when working on my property.

I am very pleased with Gateway Aeration and would highly recommend them to anyone. These are good, hardworking and reliable people.

Waste of money. Apparently if you get their deals, you get bad service.

I called them and they came the next day and had it done. This was great because I wanted to seed the following day. I needed a quick appt. and they delivered!

There was some difficulty getting the job started. When they came out to do the work on the original appointment they left without doing anything, leaving a cryptic note on a card saying I should cut my lawn but not why. Since I had done so a few days earlier, when I called to reschedule I asked why and was told they needed it shorter for the power raking to be more effective. It would have been better to call or at least write a more informative note to explain the situation.
As requested, I cut my lawn again, lower, the day before the next appointment but they did not come as scheduled to do the work and, again, did not call to explain. The work was finally done the next day. When I called the office each time the person I spoke to knew what had happened and was able to get things back on track, but I think someone should have been proactive and called me rather than making me call them. I work during the day but they said I did not need to be there to have the work done, I gave them a credit card for payment (to be charged after the work was done) and they had my cell phone number.
They did a good job overall and the grass seed is growing well. The lawn is much fuller everywhere except for a few small areas. I don't know whether they are missed spots or if something else is preventing the new grass from growing.

Nice young man did the work. I was home and pointed out the really bad spots. The area of the yard that needed this work most was our backyard because of the slope. I was told that the overseeding would consist of fescue seed mix specifically made for this area. I waited until now to report so that I could see how well the grass came up. In the backyard I have some overly thick patches of grass now, and in the other areas that needed it the most there is very little grass coming up. So I have to assume that the overseeding and or fertilizing was not applied evenly - it looks like the spreader dumped seed in a few areas and spread very little over most of the backyard. I don't remember if this company gave any kind of guarantee on their work.

Good experience. Good value.

It took them a few hours to do everything, and did a very good job.
