the entire process was easy and efficient. They have a showroom at their location she you can actually see the various options and the sales person was very knowledgable, practical, and friendly. We brought the needed measurements and picture of the fireplace, reviewed and selected from many options and set the installment date. The installer was on time, assessed and measured the job, and gladly explained everything he was going to do before he did it. He was through, cleaned up as he went and took the time to explain everything we needed to work the gas system. We would recommend this company to others and would use them again.

A very positive experience. Although hard to get a quick appointment because of the time of the year, the guy was polite and extremely knowledgeable. I think he could fix gas appliances with a blindfold on. Very reasonable charge too.

Gas fireplace insert and gas grill installed. After determining fixing our grill was not cost effective, with Connie's help we selected a new grill. Connie was great at explaining both the fireplace and grill options. Installation was smooth and how to operate each item was carefully explained.

Very good. Technician took the time to explain how the gas fireplace worked, how to clean, what to look for if there is a future problem.

Technician Dan arrived on time and completed work in a professional manner. Gave me additional advice on maintenance of grill.

I contacted Gas Appliance Services and told them my problem and ask when they would be available to come out and fix it. They told me that most likely it was just a issue with my remote and or on of switch being corroded and that the cost of the visit would out weigh the cost of the part. He suggested that I just unplug the remote box and take out the switch and bring it into their store so they could match it. That way I would not be wasting money on a field visit.

I think this kind of reaction to a customers problem is very rare today. Everyone want to make a buck and this would have been a perfect example of easy money. By offering to help for free when we are not even a regular customer, Dan basically cheated himself out of 97 Dollars, but what he will get from in recommendations for good services rendered, I hope will repay him many times that amount.

Installed gas logs with difficult access.

Connie worked with us step by step from beginning to end to find just the right fireplace for our needs.  She was extremely professional and knowledgeable about all products they carry.  We were very pleased with the selection and found just the right one.
Through absolutely no fault of Gas Appliances, the transformation from wood-burning to gas turned into an ordeal.  When the company who was building our four-season sunroom removed the existing chimney, it created a host of problems.
Connie went above and beyond as she searched high and low for a different direct-vent gas fireplace that could be installed in the space left without a chimney.  She finally found ONE fireplace that would work.  This type of gas fireplace is so new that Gas Appliances had never sold or installed one before. 
Connie got representatives from the manufacturer to come oversee the installation so there would be no problems. It went in quickly and smoothly. The technicians were professional, friendly and speedy.
 The quality of the fireplace is excellent. The quality of care and service we received from this company was even better!  We cannot say enough good things about Connie and Gas Appliances! 
 We will definitely use this company again for any and all gas appliances and recommend this company for any and everyone who wants quality, first-rate service for quality, first-rate products.

He made two trips one to inspect and quote the work. He did need to order parts so it took a little while. Jeff was very good though.

Great! Very professional workman. He called to let us know he would be coming within a 1/2 time frame. The worker arrived within this time frame. Very polite. Explained what he was going to do...then did precisely that. No mess was left behind, and the job stayed within the quoted budget. I highly recommend this company. My wife was impressed with the worker, too.

Called several places as I couldn't keep the pilot light lit in my fireplace.  Gas Appliance Service had the soonest available appointment.
The young man arrived on time and promptly addressed the problem.  Laid out a floor covering, removed the logs and other stuff, went out to his truck and found the replacement part, installed the part, put all the fireplace stuff back in, and gave it a test drive.  Worked wonderfully on the first try.  Gentleman was neatly attired, very polite, explained everything he was doing, and very professional.

They were very busy, (in the Winter, who would have thought?), and the quickest they could come out was about 1 1/2 weeks, and then just for an inspection to see what needed to be done.  Danny arrived on time, actually a few minutes before the two-hour window  I'd been given.  In and out in about 15 minutes, for a fee of $40 that would be applied against the cost of the repair itself, which was scheduled for a week later.  This time, Danny arrived a few minutes after the two-hour window (no problem), and finished the work in about 45 minutes.  Efficient, professional and friendly.  $110 this time, plus the previous $40 for a total bill of $150, which seemed reasonable. 

We went in on a Saturday to look at post-mount, natural gas grills.  The sales lady (forgot her name) was SO helpful.  She told us our options, answered our questions honestly, and showed us how to replace parts on the grill we chose.  We didn't feel like she was trying to sell us anything, she just helped us get our project done.  They were able to schedule the installation the following week, which we were very excited about.The installation guy made it on time and was done in 2 hours.  He was very respectful and let my kids watch him install our the grill.  He put everything back where it was before installation.  He patiently explained the grill to me after it was all completed.

My condo is unusual in that the Gas for the fireplaces is on a type of "co-op" system.  The Gas bill goes to the condo management, and only those of us actually using the fireplaces split the bill.  I do not get billed directly by the Gas company, and thus needed a private contractor to inspect the existing unit.
  Danny was very thorough and so easy to work with.  I respect safety concerns related to use of a gas appliance, and Danny took extra time to explain safe use of the fireplace and made sure I was comfortable with it before he left.  (Again, I hope I have his name correct, as he did an outstanding job of installation AND explaination!!!)   
    Connie, the employee who handled the scheduling, was reliable and very helpful.  I appreciated her calling me to let me know the logs arrived and we could have the installation done sooner.  She was a pleasure to talk to and work with.
    When I decided to purchasethe set from the sister company of Gas Applicance Service, it seemed like the logical choice because Gas Appliance had already been out to my condo and had a record of what was needed to "fix" my existing fireplace. The whole process could NOT have gone smoother.  I already had confidence in this installation company, and they of course worked closely with the company from which I purchased the new unit.

They kept their store open late for us to examine and try out the gas conversion sets, recommended to us the best set based on our needs & budget. Competitive prices. Installation was on time and amazingly quick. They gave us a good lesson in how to use our new gas fireplace. We're very happy and would recommend them!

Visited their shop to look at their gas logs. Connie was helpful and explained the pros and cons of vented and vent-free logs. The shop has operating gas logs at waist level, so it is easy to handle the valves, etc.. We compared manual and 'Millivolt' valves. Went with vent-free 18" burner with a Millivolt valve (Empire Comfort systems VFSR-18N) and 6 piece refractory log set (ECS ALS-18CR1). Being November, we were prepared for a long wait for installation, but it was scheduled out less than 2 weeks. The logs went into an existing wood burning Heatilator(fabricated) fireplace box (has punch-outs)). The installer called the morning of the installation and a gave a 2 hr window. The installer was prompt, courteous, and performed the job quickly (about 1.5 hrs including 20 feet of gas line connecting to an existing line). The work included turning off the gas to the house, turning it on and relighting a water heater pilot light. We have used the gas logs for a day and are quite satisfied. Two things to note; While variable, the flame heights vary maybe 25% from low to high. You'll need more than 3 hours to have the firewall vent open to burn off the smell. Although technically, we don't need a fireplace hood (when have a mantle), I will install one ( $60 to buy) because the bricks above the firewall get quite hot (> 150 degrees).
