We wanted a patio and sidewalk replacement that would match our existing 30+ year old driveway. We went with an exposed aggregate finish and it looks great. The work was performed on time and it turned out exactly as we expected. There were no surprises. The crew was courteous and professional.

Eric and one worker arrived shortly after appointed time window. First,
the two slabs turned out to be connected and were actually one large
slab. When the two of them could not lift the slab but only move it
slightly, they called another worker to try to help; otherwise they
would have to remove the slabs and pour new concrete. With the
additional help of the third person, with great difficulty they were
able to lift the slab enough to wedge in supporting material and
reverse the tilt of the sidewalk also raising the slab enough to correct
a tripping hazard at one end of the slab. While we would have liked to
see the slab lifted a little more than they were able to raise it, they
were able to accomplish our goal of reversing the flow of water runoff
and improving the situation overall. The patching they did in the
garage floor also corrected both of those areas very satisfactorily. I
felt Eric and his workers did everything they could with the sidewalk
slabs and raised them as far as they were capable of doing so. They
cleaned up their work areas well, replacing decorative rock that had
been disturbed and even taking time to replant some flowers that were in
their way and had to be removed!

I was very pleased with Aetna Construction. I worked directly with Eric and he was very knowledgeable and professional. He gave me a quote to power washed my chipping concrete patio, resurface and sealed it. I was asking for a very quick turnaround and he managed to squeeze me in between his other jobs and complete the work before my deadline. He was very pleasant to work with and I would defiantly use Aetna again in the future!

Was not the lowest bidder but selection was rewarded with an excellent job to date. Contractor was good in respect to communications and timeliness.

From start to finish the Aetna guys never missed a beat! Showed up as promised and continued to work hard until the job was complete. Aetna provided some suggestions along the way and provided some ideas I wouldn't have thought of on my own. Experience showed through as Ken made suggestions allowing the job to be done right.

Ken came out and gave me an estimate the day that I called. He understood exactly what we wanted, provided some additional suggestions to make sure we would have the best result and then quickly provided a very competitive cost estimate. We had 3 other bids and the Aetna bid was the lowest that included everything we wanted done.
They were able to quickly fit us into their schedule and despite having to remove the old porch and walk were able to complete the job in about a day and a half. There crew was very professional, did a very nice job on the concrete and a good clean-up. We are very pleased with the result.

Entire job went very well. Work crew was courteous and efficient, site manager communicated job process and schedule and was available to answer questions.
Demo and haul away were completed in one afternoon and the pour occurred the next morning along with installation of the retaining wall. Clean up was excellent and the final product was 100% to our expectations.

I picked Aetna off of Angie's list as one of three bids for a new concrete patio. Their price was right and I felt that the work would go well. Everything seemed to go well and the job was finished in just a few days. Most of the jobsite was cleaned up well, but they did stain my screen door with something that won't wash out.One year later, our patio has held up well and still looks nice. The only downfall was that it was late in the year and they did not get it sealed before winter. I have tried twice to get them to come out and seal it and do some other tuckpointing work for me, but they never call back or show up to quote the job. On the plus side, they did not charge me for sealing at the time of pouring the patio.Overall I feel that the job I received was exactly what I paid for.

The job turned out great, but more importantly, they showed up on time every day, communicated everything to us right away, and cleaned up when the job was finished. They gave us a very competitive bid and Ken was very easy to work with. I'd definitely recommend them for any concrete work you might need.

They ended up not being able to do the job until the week of a backyard party, so I was concerned about how my yard would look. However, they did a great job and you couldn't even tell they were there. Their crew was extremely nice.

A bid was received promptly and was less than the other bid. Work began within a couple of weeks, was done in a professional manner, and the end result is very good. Aetna Construction has also installed sidewalks for us and we have been more than happy with their work. We would absolutely hire them again.

It went very well. My husband talked to him over the phone and he told us that he was six weeks behind. Ken sent the contract right away and told us not to sign it or send a down payment until they were ready to start. He was very professional and we had a contract that spelled out exactly what they were going to do. He called us a couple of days before he was ready to start and set up a time. They came and they were very professional. They said that they would be here at 7'o clock and they were here at 7 'o clock. They made sure that we had an in and out of the driveway. They broke up the sidewalk and took the concrete away. They cleaned up after themselves each day. They really did a nice job and the sidewalk looks really good. We had got one other bid from a friend of a friend of the family and it was about half what they did, but there was no formal contract. He had just told us that he could do it when he was not doing his day job and we declined.

Our regular contractor recommended Ken with Aetna Construction based on his experience with them on other job sites. I was looking for an experienced concrete company to pour a new back porch and stairs as well as replace old wood stairs below the porch that lead to a basement entrance. Piers and a support wall also had to be constructed based on architect's plans. This was a complicated job that needed a true expert. Ken and his entire crew were excellent and very knowledgeable. With rain and city inspection delays the project took a few weeks to complete but I am very happy with the results.
I've already asked Ken to quote on replacing our cracked patio and some additional concrete and masonry work. I would definitely consider hiring them again in the future.

It was a turf laying job that ended up being a much bigger job that was very fairly done. They were great. They were very good and the work that they did was great. The owner was fantastic. I was very happy with them and I would highly recommend them to the others. I would definitely use them again in the future.

They gave us a quote over the phone after driving by to look at it. We thought $550 was a good value for the amount of time and effort it would have taken us to do it by ourselves. It only took a little over 1 1/2 hours. The crew were quick and cleaned up very well after it was all gone including sweeping our driveway and the dirt that ended up in the street. We added fill dirt the next day and found some pieces of concrete that had been left behind due to being buried. We made a pile of these and called Aetna to see if they would come back and get them and they did! Overall great experience and we now have some nice grass growing in a spot that was a terrible eyesore.

Ken submitted his bid in a timely manner, started the job on the date promised, and finished in good time in spite of weather delays. He was responsive, didn't need to be reminded about any part of the job, was polite and managed his staff well. The workers for Aetna were hard-working, cleaned up at the end of the day and did a great job. I would recommend this contractor to anyone who asks.

We hired this company to extend our existing aggregate pad to go under our deck. They were pretty confident it would match, but unfortunately it ended up a different color than the existing. They did a nice job of hauling away our unused garden area and cleaned up well. Because I was disappointed the color didn't match I'm not sure if I would hire them again, but everything else was good.

I was working through a general contractor for a new garage and driveway that did not meet acceptable standards and required replacement (driveway only). I provided my general a number of contractors from Angie's list and he selected Aetna. As I didn't pay Aetna directly I can't comment on their price, however their work was impeccable. I have scheduled them for some additional work next spring.

They were very professional and they did an excellent job; I was very happy with their work. The owner came out to talk to me so the estimate was for exactly what I wanted. He came out right away after I called, and he was very prompt about everything. The employees were very good and the owner was responsible.

They did the sidewalk also which wasn't originally to my specifications but they're here now correcting that so it will be ok. The man that owns the company has been coming and checking on them. He is courteous and willing to quickly correct the problem.

Both projects went great, the patio-driveway-porch was a complete tear out and then a rebuild. Considering that large equipment was needed for the project, it went seamless. The roof project at the 2nd house was completed along with the tuckpointing in the same time frame.
