Fitzgibbons Painting

How did it go?  Perfect. 
I evaluated three other local providers of these services and went with Fitzgibbons. Due to some personal schedule conflicts, I didn't make my deposit and schedule the job for almost a year after the original bid.  I called Jeff to ask if he would need to rebid the job and he said that he would stick with his original estimate.  I sent my deposit, received an acknowledgement of the deposit and then a call from the Jennifer at the office to request approval to begin work. This happened in about 2 weeks from deposit.
The crew showed up on time and began work.  Our house was built in 1880 and is a Kirkwood Landmark home. We were mindful of its history and so were the crew!  The crew were a welcome group of professionals who helped restore the old house to her former glory.  They seemed willing and able to do just about anything. They also seemed able to predict the weather more accurately than the local meteorologists.
I would also like to recognize the office staff, especially Jennifer, who was a great resource to us throughout the project.  The phone was ALWAYS answered by a live person and that person was pleasant, customer focused and able to handle any questions. 
I will be using Fitzgibbons in the future for additional work.

I used Fitzgibbons in May of 2013 previously to this current August 2013 service date and was very pleased with their work and service both times. In May, they power washed and stained the deck attached to the back of our house (about $900)---a big job as I don't think this had ever been done and there was a lot of wood. This current service date, they scraped and painted the brick around the front porch and stained the porch's wood floor and steps. Calling in to the office both times someone either answered the phone or returned my message the same day. The estimator got me estimates within a week--very reasonable in my opinion. They were very prompt in setting up dates/times to start the work and showed up when they said they would. They came within about two weeks of my initial call for the August service and completed the work the same day. Last spring, I had called in April to set up a service date for May (my choice of date--we had a bird nesting on the deck and I didn't want to disturb it until the babies had left) and they were able to accommodate me with no problem. For both service dates, I met the lead painter that day and each was friendly and courteously listened to my concerns and instructions. The back deck work took two trips since it needed to dry out after the power washing and they came back to finish up as soon as the deck was ready to stain. I wanted the brick surrounding the front porch to match the color of the siding on the house. The lead painter was honest with me and said he would get the color as close as possible. Truthfully, it looks like a match to me, but I appreciated him telling me in advance that it might not match. The front steps had deteriorated somewhat due to neglect by a previous owner so I wasn't sure how they would turn out. Again, he was honest with me about what was possible. I have to say that I think the steps look really nice. I would definitely use Fitzgibbons Painting again.

I was very pleased with their work.  Would recommend them and use them again.

We had some awful bright and dull/heavy colors in our home when we bought our house. Fitzgibbons Painting did a great job. The employees where professional, courtesy and mindful of others people home and surroundings. They showed up everyday at the same time, early and eager to get the job started. All the work was done in a timely manner.  And they clean up after themselves every night, not leaving a mess. We truly have enjoyed the finish product. What a big difference. 

Pretty well.  Had an air conditioner issue (which was probably due to a loose wire), which they came back after hours and repaired.  They also got a power outlet next to the house that wasn't working (and didn't significantly add to the bill).  They went beyond what was down in the contract.

The work turned out just dandy. I would consider using them in them in the future. They were always on time.

It went very well. It was a little slower than we thought it would be but they did a good job.

We asked Fitzgibbon's Painting to bid the job twice because the first bid didn't include all of the work we ulitmately had done.  The estimator arrived on time and was very knowledgeable.  The estimate was in line with the others we had received from other companies.  Once all discounts were applied the price was several hundred dollars less.

Two painters arrived, on time, Monday and told me the work would take 2 to 2 1/2 days to complete.  They were very professional and respectful.  I had a pet gate up to keep my small dog out of their way.  They both made the extra effort to reassure me that my dog wouldn't bother them told me to take the gate down until they started to paint.  I really appreciated the extra effort to put my pet at ease.  

On the second day only one painter came to work, the other had a medical emergency.  He reassured me the work would be completed on time, and it was.  Everything was completed  and looks wonderful!!  I will definitely recommend Fitzgibbon's to my neighbors and friends.

They did good work.  They were on time, punctual, and very courteous.

Everything went well.  The two gentleman arrived on time and completed the work without making a mess.

Bid was received promptly, work done on a timely basis in a professional manner.  Very pleased with the quality of the work and the professionalism of the painters.  A job well done.

The crew were extremely friendly and professional and competent. They saved us from some bad judgments or omissions on our part, and the house looks fantastic! Could not have been a better experience. They wouldn't even accept a tip! Recommend them most highly!

It is a family owned business. The owner takes pride in what he does. He is very thorough and customer oriented. He follows up on the job and makes sure it is all fine.

Dealing with the company from start to finish was pleasant. It was easy to set up an appointment for an estimate, my calls were promptly answered, and when we were told they would be there late in the week of Oct 19th, they were, even though it had rained steadily for the past week. The men showed up early, worked steadily all day, and cleaned up each day before they left. They even worked over the weekend to get it done because it was supposed to rain the whole next week. I was impressed by the carpentry job that they did on the front windows. The vertical trim pieces on all of the windows were rotted badly at the bottoms. They came up with a great solution, and used composite trim boards for the repair that won't rot out again. The windows look brand new and we couldn't be happier.

They were awesome and I liked them. I found them through a mailer coupon. Then I started to research about them and found that they were evidently better business bureau. I had bids from couple of other companies, but I found that Fitzgibbons Painting was 75 percent cheaper and they gave more service too. They did an awesome job. They even washed the entire house and did all the trim work on our roof where we have real high peaks. They painted our front door and the main door of our garage. They did clean up after the job was done. I would definitely call them back as I was thinking about getting our bathroom, bedroom and other rooms of our house painted.

They were timely. They were very courtesy. They were never late. They were very clean and neat. They did a wonderful job.

The company sent out 2 men to do the work. They were finished in about 4 hours.

They are very professional and did a bang up job. They also do outside painting which we are going to have them do for us very soon. I like the way they get the job done and the professionalism they use.

They did a very good job. They had some trouble with the paint in that it needed two coats because the wood they replaced soaked up the paint.

AT THE END OF THE JOB, THEY HAD MISSED SEVERAL SPOTS AND HAD TO RETURN TO FINISH. THEY DID NOT WANT TO COME BACK TO THE SITE AND IT REQUIRED SEVERAL PHONE CALLS FOR THEM TO RETURN. TREE LIMBS THAT WERE OVERHANGING THE FENCE WERE MUTILATED MY THE PAINTERS DURING THE PROCESS WHICH CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE TREES.
