It seemed to go OK for awhile but we could never get competing bids from other general contractors besides their "in-house" contractor, who never provided detailed bid proposals.
We wound up signing agreements because we had no where else to go. We needed to have repairs done.
The straw that broke the camels back was that the contractor would only provide a bid to rehab the entire building when they had been told we could only afford one unit at a time. Only after switching PMs and hiring a roofer to get a bid for repair did we find out that we paid Fisher and their contractor 4 years ago was not a roof repair job. Between the flat fee we were paying Fisher and their continuous "maintenance" we were not making any money.
Besides the fact that they rented to someone who vandalized half of the previous rehab work that was done. $25,000+ down the drain not covered by insurance.
They did pay the water, electric, and MSD bills on-time. We should have cut them loose in the first year.
